john lemuel santiago yes. Essentially Pheonix is an immortal/god in heaven. He was heavenly prince most likely in line to get to the heavenly throne, although this is a position he didn’t want. Jinmi is a fruit sprite/fairy, who turns our to actually be a water/flower goddess. However, before she could get the title of water goddess, you have to kinda prove your worth and power I guess. So she was sent to the mortal realm (literally she is reborn as a human, without godly powers.) pheonix found out that his mom was planning to murder jinmi while she is powerless in the mortal realm, so he jumps after her, and also gets reborn as human. There is a lady who controls the fates of humans, so pheonix mom order this lady to create a good life or fate for pheonix. So pheonix is reborn with the fate of being a king.

The scene when King Yi confessed his feeling to Jin Mi but got rejected made my heart hurt. Think about it he's the king & the god of war who has lots of power. But he did everything he could to show his love to a saint girl like Jin Mi. Later when Jin Mi was found dead, he even left the King position, got married with her in a tomb and buried himself with her so they can live together. What a romantic, persistent and devoted man !

I feel so sad for his majesty, for a king to be rejected so many times. He was even so sentimental to keep the imperfect lantern since it was made by both of them. Got drunk so he could muster enough courage to declare his love for her. Where on earth can you find such a man nowadays?

I don't own those videos but just want to share his singing talent which is a shame that is not promoted a lot. He has such a soothing voice, perfect for ballads. Some of the songs here are OST of his dramas and movie.

Watched both but eternal love is pale in comparison to ashes of love in my opinion....Ashes of Love is better... Eternal love i honestly find it over hyped 😅

We just got different taste guys. I love eternal love/ 10 miles peach blossom A LOT more than ashes of love. On terms of ranking, eternal love is no. 1 and ashes of love is 2. I never stopped rewatching eternal its sooo good to me and its my cup of tea. Ashes of love could be my no. 1 if there were more scenes between xu feng and jinmi and less with fish fairy that took almost half of the whole drama😢

No matter where they meet and how they will always be ones TRUE LOVE even though I was for Water Deity 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I still wanted Phoenix and Fairy to be together after such a turbulent love trial over and over again.

Habiendo leído el libro y visto el drama puedo decir que es mejor el drama. Realmente la historia ideal sería una mezcla balanceada entre las dos, pues ambas tienen ciertas fallas que no les permiten alcanzar la perfección. En la novela tanto Jin Mi como Xu Feng son crueles; Jin Mi es incapaz de sentir nada hacia nadie, ni gusto ni desagrado: es una manipuladora quasi sociopata, incapaz de ninguna emoción ni mucho menos entenderlas pero que las finge delante de los que la rodean para manipularlos y obtener lo que desea. Fénix por otro lado, es fiero y cruel, llegando al punto de atentar contra la vida de Jin Mi en tres ocasiones ( y eso que ya estaba "enamorado") de una manera espeluznantemente juguetona, disfrutando observar cómo ella lucha por su vida. Esa escena donde terminan haciendo el amor la primera vez se desarrolla de una manera muy distinta, y más tarde la propia Jin Mi se cuestiona respecto de cómo terminaron teniendo ese tipo de intimidad cuando sólo hacia unos instantes Fénix casi la estrangula !? hasta morir. Incluso en una ocasión le dice: " Jin Mi, creo que llegará un día en el que finalmente te matare" . Ni hablar de lo que pasa previo a la batalla final entre ambos ejércitos donde Jin Mi observa al Fénix y mira cómo la sangre de ella se le ha secado en los labios ( sí, mejor ni pregunten cómo pasó eso). Me parece bastante chocante pero se lo atribuyo a esa manera oriental de romantizar el abuso en las relaciones. En el libro los dos son bastante más oscuros que en el drama. Este mismo aspecto hace que en el libro ese amor épico que dicen tener carezca de un cimiento sólido y creíble, a diferencia del drama donde saben desarrollar y justificar su romance. Para mí la falla principal del drama es la falta de una verdadera emotividad que te haga sentir su dolor y su tragedia: es triste pero como que no puedes conectar con ese sentimiento. Un gran ejemplo a tomar es Moon Lovers, que te deja seco el corazón de tanto llorar. Le echo la culpa al director porque las actuaciones son impecables y eso fue lo que él quiso mostrar. Les aplaudo a los guionistas que supieron tomar el libro y rellenar los huecos o añadir un pasaje tan bello como éste de la encarnación mortal que en el libro no existe. Nos regalaron un Fénix hermoso por dentro y por fuera, noble, leal, romántico, apasionado y con un corazón de oro que brilla más que su armadura celestial; y una Jin Mi graciosa, inocente y sin malicia que se convierte en una magnífica mujer valiente y capaz de todo por el hombre que ama.
