This video is for anyone interested in getting involved with the Palo, Orisha, Vodoun, and Kemetic traditions that feel it's not necessary acknowledge their blood and general ancestors, and Spiritual Cuadrant. This video is to serve as a warning so that you can avoid some of the pitfalls that a lot of us have made due to fascination with the deities, but disdain and lack of interest in our bloodline guides.

I found you maybe a year ago and I just realized I never commented just watched in silence. Thank you for sharing your experience this video helped me slow down. And I needed to. Love the analogy about the plane and how the ancestors are more closer to us, and how they remember more of the humanistic situations. I'm the "different" person in the family into estoeric & occult knowledge, and don't know any of my deceased family members, but this has most certainly helped me want to reach out to them more because maybe I'm doing something someone in my bloodline couldn't do! thanks! THis was beautiful, this was exactly what I needed to see. I was reading a comic and Storm's ancestor Ashake was in it, and she was explaining her alter with the urns of her ancestors, and how she needed help doing something she's not talented in. And it sorta stuck in the back of my mind because I love Storm of the X-Men and she comes from a line of Priestesses. So the next month I come across the quote, "Have you elevated your ancestors? When was the last time you fed them?" And that quote sorta haunted me for a while, meaning it was always there in my mind and I'd find myself reciting it, because leaving offerings to my ancestors (with my great grandmother, my great aunt and my nephew who had passed the year before). And now sitting here I realize I'm going about it the wrong way, actually that's a lie, I realized I was going about it the wrong way when something felt wrong after everything was feeling so right. I did no research and just ran in blind. Leaving random fruits, man I don't know, but I've bookmarked this video, I see a second one I'm gonna bookmark and I have some research to do. I'm glad I came across this.

I have a really close relationship with my ancestors and guides. Here lately I’ve felt like I’ve had things that they couldn’t handle and randomly one day I said to myself “I wonder who my orisha is”. After that I started seeking the answer. I would say that since the creator and keisha are more elevated, they see the bigger picture and know that in the grand scheme of things, far beyond our present life experience and know all is well, all will be well. We on the other hand are right on the ground, we can't see that far and beyond, or ahead and so from our limited perspective, there's a greater sense of urgency. Eggun still remember that experience and although they can see farther, they can still relate to what it felt like to exist with our limitations. Therefore, they speak on our behalf.

I’m a new subbie and just LOVE your aura! I want to learn more about getting in touch with my ancestors but I can’t set up an altar in my house (I live with other family members) because I have no privacy at all. I meditate but need to know how else can I build a bond with my ancestors. I know I was chosen to follow my spiritual path and want to pay homage to the positive ones. Please help. I recently found out my family has a long history of abuse and I’m trying to break that cycle.

I know I'm late to this video, but I have a question. In 2016, my son got sick and remained sick for about 4 months. After seeing countless doctors, medicating him, and praying and laying hands on him, I was at my wit's end. I finally asked myself, what haven't I done. Well one night while I was checking on his fever, I called out to my ancestors for his healing. I had no faith that it would work and I had no idea what I was saying. Long story short, my husband's grandfather showed up in the flesh (not literally, but I could see him), and my son hasn't been sick since. My question is why did my husband's ancestor show up and not mine? I'm grateful that anyone showed up, but I had never met, seen, or had any type of relationship with my husband's grandfather. Thank you in advance.

just yesterday I had to make calls up. I thought first to go to the top, but my mother is there and my brother, I called them because they just left here. then called my grandmothers, then my daughter's grandfather who btw hates me but loves his grand daughter. at the end I only ask got them to assist if they needed help.I am new to this but it seems to come natural for me. I thank you for video now it confirms I did do it correctly. my daughter came out of court with EXACTLY what i requested. I am just starting but feel like its older than me.

makes sense. but here's the thing you also need to help your ancestors heal from trauma by praying for them as well. so here's my question coming from your perspective, why would I ask my ancestors to help me when they themselves are not healed from past traumas of their own lives? shouldn't you call on your high ancestors? the guides, those closer to the creator to help?

thank you for this video. I've avoided the thought of an ancestral alter. because i was let down and disappointed by my most recent ancestors/elders of my family too. this has made me see my ancient ancestors in that human form. im afraid to communicate with who i don't know. but this have given me the courage to read and research more so i can communicate effectively
