Superman Returns was a great omage to the Christoper Reeve's film serie. That's why, even if underrated, I like it. Even more than the new DCU Superman.

The 80 seconds of "Planet Krypton" while the camera zooms past Rao (Krypton's sun) and down to the planet, ending on the dome of the justice chamber, is my favorite moment of the Superman films. Warner's use of the music in the "Superman Returns" trailers was commendable.

This music will get people jazzed up to see Superman films for decades to come as background in trailers. That is the power of John Williams.

After Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh is the best Superman. That's my opinion anyways. :)

Always loved the Donner's Superman movie up until the moment Supes goes to Metropolis. It's grandiose. Solemn. Then the tone changes. With Clark being a stumbling buffoon and all. Don't get me wrong, Reeve is my favorite Superman. But imagine what it could have been with a better treatment of the whole movie.
