Another good start to another show!

As someone who decided to watch this purely because of the intriguing name, I was not expecting that plot. I’m loving the mystery, the bgm's ambiance, and the art style. Looking forward to this.

By censorship they meant sumireko, it has nudity in the manga from what I understand

Really good start imho... I thought the youth-giving book mystery was a fun one... I think artists are not used to drawing adult women so they overdid Sumireko's boob size, but didn't have the budget or were unwilling to draw them completely. So while I think going harder on the ecchi like I've heard the manga did could have helped, I think this story is strong enough to not need it and I'm looking forward to the next episode. Ren is definitely a mysterious main character imho--I think it should be interesting to learn his motivations/goals over the course of the season. The source material appears to be an ongoing manga that currently has 7 volumes published in Japanese--the 7th Japanese volume was published last month (March 2024) and the 2nd volume is to be released in English in July 2024.
