Dylan tells 60 Minutes that his songs weren't intended to be sermons or protests, but they did have "poetic nuance"

I don't know , how did it happen with me? How did I go on like a rolling stone? How did I come accomplish the song script? How did it poetry come to as songs? It is but the guitar stringing. A guy, a bohemian, a gypsy, a hippie I; a folkman, a rockstar; a musician, a songwriter, a singer. His poetry the lyrics of the changing times; the songs of the guitar. The song as a stylistic, manneristic presentation.. Pop singing traditions.

Not a very satisfactory response. I think what Bob should have said is something like: A certain segment of the public exalted me as their voice of the times, but it wasn't my intent or aspiration to play that role. To me, I was just writing passionately and ARTFULLY about what mattered to me at the time - and as a young person, I had much of the same concerns and spirit of rage and immediacy about what was going on before my eyes. I'm an artist, not a political activist. Perhaps my art just exemplifies how so much more powerful and visceral is music when wedded with poetry compared to most political oration. As moving as MLK speeches were, people don't listen to them over and over as they do the songs of that era.

That’s where Satans’ talent comes into play. Remember, Satan when he was Lucifer, was the head conductor, writer, musician, and creative force behind all music that was heard in heaven. The words are as important as the rhyme and the beat.

Where in the bible does it say all of that?
@NEMO-NEMO
@NEMO-NEMO 2 жыл бұрын
@@mixedlove1234 The idea that Satan was a master musician comes from Ezekiel 28:13. The New King James Version of the Bible (NKJV), speaking of Satan, says, “The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created.” He was known as Lucifer when he was in Heaven. When he was thrown out of Heaven he is Satan. He was the leader in Heaven. He knew more than any other angel bc God allowed it. Many artist in the past and present hv admitted to being led by this entity and they will even tell you that they volunteered to elicit help from him, so they could advance in the field. One such musician is Dylan. He even admits it in an interview that 60 minutes did on him. Check it out.

Writing deep prose or poetry requires energy from every part of your mind and body. It is exhausting as you are put into the writing mental state. It would have killed me if I had tried to make my career as a writer. Your subconscious mind can do the lifting to bring the prose or poetry out.

For it is written: 'You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'" Mark 8:35-37 (NET) 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the gospel will save it. 36 For what benefit is it for a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life? 37 What can a person give in exchange for his life?
