Yes! I love these characters! They’re my favorites in the entire Pokémon Adventures manga! I love their dynamic and friendship so much! I actually think Dia and Pearl humbled Platinum a bit! The scene where she was reading the letter she wrote apologizing for lying all the time was just so adorable! The comedy may have been a bit cringe but I got so many genuine laughs out of it! It was just such a good arc and it’s my favorite! Also, Pearl actually caught his team...he already had Chatot, Luxray decided to join him after they helped each other out multiple times, and he caught Buizel, Diglett and Tauros. The only one that was actually given to him was his starter...which is obvious because it’s a starter. Dia and Platinum were the ones that basically had their teams given to them. Also also, Dia is LITERALLY a shortened version of Diamond, so it’s pronounced like die-uh or even just die (yes, like the word ‘die’). Both of these would be considered correct...I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be rude, it just bugs me when I hear it pronounced dee-uh...

@@iChewsU My favorite arc is the Diamond and Pearl arc! I love how they expanded on the game story and all the characters had a role to play, even the minor ones like Cynthia’s grandma! And of course the trio of Dia, Pearl and Platinum are my favorite characters in all of Pokémon Adventures! I also just love Sinnoh in general...it’s my favorite region!

@@iChewsU That’s one of the many many things I love about Pokémon Adventures. They make all the characters unique to their game counterparts, and they give important roles to side characters. It’s just so good! The anime is just all about Ash but the manga gives focus to so many more characters than the anime ever would! I wish they would give the manga an anime adaptation...a lot of older fans who are sick of Ash would probably love something like that, and manga fans DEFINITELY would! It’s probably never gonna happen but fans can dream right?

@@Pika999 of course! The Manga is so different from the anime, but it shows a more realistic approach to battling. It's not too much fun and games, if anything they need to battle to survive. And to you point of wanting the Manga adaptation I too want that as well, but I think the manga concept is too dark for pokemons standards

13:33 volkner trains platina and by extension Candace and maylene as well. Riley trains dia on the iron island and crasher wake makes pearl his apprentice of sorts after he finds him collapse after lake valor was detonated.

Yeah, I see, I just reread the all the manga chapter again for DP, and I see we left of some information that we should have, said, but the talk was fun nonetheless. Did you like it even though, we did miss out on some information?

5:50 actually you are incorrect. It wasn’t reds goal to become champion. He only became champion as a means to an end. Reds true goal was to understand true strength and to expand beyond the small boarders of his home. He went on a journey of discovery and self improvement. If anything black is the only protagonist whose goal is champion focused. Even the most recent protagonists of the Sword and shield arc Tate and Sho only joined the gym challenges in order to help Tate find her lost Pokémon and uses the challenges to advertise her mission to the region.

Okay I see what you mean. Yeah, I think recently in the Manga, the endgoal is not to become champion, but something bigger than that. I do like the direction each new manga takes, with a new and different goals for everyone, i think that's what makes the Manga exciting. What do you think?

@@iChewsU its definitely refreshing and with every arc featuring new character with uniqe personality and goal that divert from the game, it make you crave more because u will be curious of what story next arc will bring. I tell you right now, i am so eager to see what SV chapter will look like from the personality and goal of the mc and what teh gym leaders will do. Unfortunately, the current anime didnt offer that

7:19 actually pearl caught all of his Pokémon we see him catch the buziel luxray did decided to join pearl after aiding eachother multiple times across the series, and his diglett and taruos he caught off screen under Wakes supervision.

@@iChewsU my favorite is actually the diamond and pearl arc. I love the dynamic of the trio and the journey they take how it mirrors the idea of the sinnoh lake trio and is in conflict with cyrus’s idea that current humanity is flawed and imperfect taking inspiration for the same lake trio. Also something interesting I find is that during the first half they intentionally don’t capture any Pokémon sticking only with six as if they act as one. And while on this half of the journey they must rely on eachother like how platina used all six Pokémon throughout her gym challenges at least once that’s including the Pokémon that were not hers like using chartot and monferno against maylene munchlax against fantine and torterra against wake, pearl commanding platina’s primplup to form an ice bridge while they were biking together, and dia rode platina ponyta when they were pursued by scientists affiliated with galactic. And then only after they had to split up and rely on themselves did they get the opportunity to capture their own Pokémon and form their own teams.

@@lunerblade13 Yes I understand your viewpoint very well. I actually like Cyrus's idea of how humanity is flawed and it's imperfection, and how he wants to change the world for the good of humanity. I believe it's with mostly all pokemon villains, that they have in my opinion good ideals on how the pokemon world should be, but their execution is wrong. For example, team plasma, I believe wanted all pokemon to be free, and the whole thing with N being able to communicate with pokemon and know their feelings was a good interesting concept. Their ideals I had no problem with, it's just the way they execute it, would leave some people questioning if it's right or wrong. Do you agree with statement?

For me this is the best version of Sinnoh story amd character, surpassing even anime and original game. The mc, femc, and Barry/pearl were used to its full potential and each of them have their moment and no one get left behind unlike in the game where the assistant is almost forgetable and didnt do much and barry is well always lose to you. It cant help since its a game so all the burden will be placed on protagonist. Also depictoon of Lucas being Barry childhood friend outside of the game are very rare. He never appear at all in the anime and become an assistant in Master and barely have any story outside of the event, many fanfic potrayed him as the assistant instead of Barry childhood friend because Dawn overwhelming popularity, but in here, he really the most interesting character and according to the 2011 character poll, he is the most popular among Sinnoh trio. Idc who do the gym but inprefer Lucas being Johanna son and barry childhood friend from twinleaf town while Dawn beimg assistant especially now the manga started teasimg that Selene/Moon might be Platina/Dawn sister. That will be great, first MC that actually related to another MC.

@Magic Wand Studio I can agree, with the characters in the anime, I feel it's more interesting and it feels like more is at steak. And in the manga, the other characters shine as well not just the MC. I like your analysis on the DP it was very interesting and informative to me!

cold, please buy the comics very good in my opinion. It gives you a different perspective of pokemon if you were only an anime watcher initially. And for the subtitles not working, I'm not sure, been trying to fix it, but for some reason this video only, I can't :(
