Oh, the nostalgia! I had both the original Poky and this sequel as books, as well as this VHS tape, and I watched and read them all the time! I don't know if I'm alone on this or not, but I actually prefer the sequel over the original!

The FBI Warning at the beginning is exactly the same on the "Amye Rosenberg" video, except some of the lines were extended a little bit. The condensed version of that Warning can also be found on "Scuffy the Tugboat" and the extended one on "Richard Scarry's Animal Nursery Tales," since all of those have the audio done by Universal Recording Corp., as well as containing the same two inbetween bumpers - the one with the balloons and the one with the popcorn.

On my friend Brian's copy of "Hangin' With Baby" the 9:40 bumper comes on after Never Everglades ends and before To Kilimanjaro Bird starts, just like the other one comes on before Good Mousekeeping (which is a Rafiki Fable).

I used to have a poky the little puppy game and I still have it with my plush toy (its old I know)

I still have two out of the four Golden Book tapes I had since I was a kid. This one, and a Sesame Street one (Everyone Makes Mistakes, The City Worm and the Country Worm, and The Great Cookie Thief). The other two I had were another Sesame Street one (with Super Grover, but I don't recall whatever happened to that tape, though, I think it broke), and a Care Bears one, but I don't even know what in the world happened to it. My guess is it got lost when my sister and I moved out of our parents house, or maybe some time before. All I know is I went looking for it, and I couldn't find it.

@Thompsonnw That bumper at 9:40 appears at the end of "Le Maitre Du Jeu" as part of a new French Ovide DVD that I burnt last week, and after it comes the second story - "Amnesie," and then the other short bumper with that same blonde girl, followed by the third and final story - "Retour En Enfance."

How many GBV titles have two bumpers like this and the one with the friendly monster? Makes me wish they had been added to 3 Sesame Street Stories and Golden Jungle Tales.

You never take a blanket outdoors unless you plan to sit or lie on it. A blanket is not a toy. That Poky Little Puppy must not have been listening to his mother carefully when she told him not to take a blanket outside. Maybe that's why he kept forgetting what she said.
