@@scumcrust Physically and emotionally for long periods of time. There was tremendous stress and abuse in the house. This aggravated the encopresis which then in turn aggravated the abuse. It was symbiotic almost. This was the 80's. No one gave a damn about mental health or child abuse so this added to it too. Both my parents were covert narcissists. This added to it. I am highly sensitive. This added to it. If you must know, they rubbed poop in my face, isolated me in closets, beat me endlessly, ridiculed me endlessly, my sister molested me which was the catalyst for the onset of encopresis. Then I lived my life into my mid 40s untreated and insane full of years of compounded problems and deficits. It wasn't until 2016 that I even heard the word encopresis. I knew then it wasn't my fault, but my life was ruined anyhow. It was the perfect storm to create a brain damaged lunatic from birth by means of endless marinating in all types of abuse and torture. My advice to you? Just be patient. The kid will get older and learn by itself that people don't soil their pants willingly. My secret was exposed to my friends...that's when I stopped. I was 9 or 10. It may be a long time. But it will stop. It's not worth ruining your child's life over. Don't yell, don't name call, don't belittle...just use a reward system. Use the potty? Get candy. Honestly...there's no other way and there's nothing you can do about it. It'll stop one day. Just let it go. Be a good parent.

My son is not autistic and he does it. He doesn’t want to miss out and thinks pooing takes too long so holds and it snowballs from there.
