He will also explain how economic growth in any given country produces political confidence, national pride, and international problems. What does it mean to live in a truly global era? Zakaria will answer this question with his customary lucidity, insight, and imagination.

i dont agree with Fareed Zakaria on the point he made about government pushing banks to make loans... No the banks made loans with slick talk about how you can AFFORD this to ppl who weren't otherwise educated enough to make the conclusion that they couldn't. So banker greed is a much bigger percentage of the problem than Fareed makes it out too be. I think Fareed is trying very hard not to sound radical or *out of the main stream* as much as possible so that he doesn't ruffle feathers.

@33:32.mexico does something right and its extraordinarily lucky??..like the expectation is for them to be incompetent and ignorant enough to risk global catastrophe? If I was mexican I would be offended.That's a seriously schewed and even paranoid and fearfull worldview which leads to constant mistrust of other nations plus a unnatural desire to make all other nations like the west.

1979 US economy was quite strong. Our California Breadbasket provided people with healthy fresh fruits and vegetables. Ecoterrorists shut down our breadbasket forcing us to buy food from other nations. Fareed is not being honest. In 1979 a single family income still provided for families needs. Does he really believe everyone has forgotten 1979? Is this big lie targeted to younger audiences?

Even now 2020 the China Germ warfare attack has only widened the gap[ US 21.4 China 14.1 GDP in 2019] because they are not only infecting the US but the rest of the world, and themselves.. Their trade is falling off faster than US production. The China Virus could be mitigted here using Hydroxychloroquine if the MSM and the DNC were not such A$$holes promoting the job decline by trying to keep production closed and counteracting President Trumps actions to put down their Globalist Marxist anarchy. They should all be tried for treason.
