Strike at 01:06
The loudest crack of thunder I've ever heard occurred from the second round of thunderstorms last night at 01:37 BST which all seemed to clip Kent rather than hit elsewhere. There was another positive lightning strike just before this clip which I believe you can hear as it fades in but I'll have to examine the footage further. 60C Theta-E values were seen to be across the SE although the storms weren't as active as they could be due to highly saturated soundings due to persistent humid conditions, i.e. in this clip here the air temperature was 20.1C with a dew point of 18.9C. The storm had slightly weakened overhead too so it really did catch me off guard.
The strike also tripped electrics for a lot of people in town as well as creating a hole through someone's house near the park which is unfortunate but luckily no one was hurt. Lucky that none of the electrics went here considering the amount of electronic devices I had plugged in!
