How often do we read a Bible verse and just hours, or a day later, find that we can’t recall much about it? It happens to every one of us from time to time. We read God’s Word, but we don’t always think about the next steps to living it out in our lives.
In this message on biblical meditation, Dr. Stanley describes an active approach to reading Scripture that takes us beyond viewing text on a page to hearing the voice of God as He speaks to us through His Word. Meditation involves listening to Him, carefully considering what He has to say, and asking Him for insight on how to apply what we learn.
Seek God through meditating on His Word and experience the life-changing power of biblical truth. It can increase your awareness of His presence, strengthen your faith, and infuse you with great joy in your relationship with Him.

I live in a one bedroom apartment in a high crime rate neighborhood with my mother at this moment because of my adversity I went through 20 years because i didn't know god yet im 41 now. I just recently found God couple month ago Oct 2022 he saved me and now I listen to my friend charles stanley every day and meditate on God . I'm happy no matter what now at this moment even when I'm poor and I don't have much I have a good feeling God will make good things come in the future as long as I stay obedience to my father. Amen 🙏

I just love him so much, and was saddened by his death at age 90, which was amazing, for he gave his entire life to God's kingdom. I wrote a book on the subject of disobedience, where my first chapter started out mentioning how much Pastor Stanley has mentored my life spiritually ❤

I recently developed leg pain causing me to limp, then I got lost in the woods for 3 hrs because I went off trail. I had fallen in such physical, mental, financial, family relationships, not serving in the church. I was/ am flat on my face crippled, painful, and lost. Wow The Lord was telling me something. Hector Gonzalez dying to love no he doesn’t stop trying to make him out to be a false teacher. He teaches if you’re living in sin god will still hear you. Because god doesn’t say clean your life up before I help you. Because the bible teaches thou your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow. Dr Stanley teaches once you accept Christ in your life it’s your DUTY as a Christian to behave the way the bible tells you a Christian should behave. The bible said be he separated from among them once you choose god’s way. From listening to Mr Stanley teaching that’s what I’ve learnt. Don’t confuse his teaching about god’s love and grace and compassion for him saying that god said you can live any old way. That’s the devil’s lie look around you at the world today to see that statement coming to life. People think I don’t need god that’s the lie ultimately so they sin how they want to because the lie they’re fed is god’s good I don’t need to do what he tells me. He’s. Good he understands. When god told us the rules for Christian living. You do god a disservice by doing that why do you think a murder on a cross with the saviour could say don’t forget me when you get into your kingdom. He acknowledged HIS sin in front of Jesus and rightly said he deserved to be Where he was. That’s grace and forgiveness of sins. We know someone on their death bed can ask god’s forgiven and be forgiven and be with god in paradise. Does it mean we should wait to come to Christ on our death bed no of course not, none of us know when our last breath will be or how we will die. The bible tells us about people causing people to leave the church. Stop trying to get people to doubt the word of god. God is real the bible is real. The bible tells us even the. Devil pretended to me an agent of light. Think careful about the consequences about what you’re doing.

@@calvinsylveste8474, I was a born skeptic who became a follower of Christ in 1987, then joined a small congregation that later became a megachurch. It fell apart because of human failures of its pastor. I almost gave up on my belief then, until I realized all fall short but "God is the same yesterday, today & forever." Am always wary of TV hucksters & false teachers offering salvation & blessings for money donations. But I've been listening to & watching Dr. Stanley's teachings for over 35 years & unlike some television evangelists, he's never, ever, NOT ONCE asked for a single penny. The one time I did hear him address the issue, he stated anyone wanting to donate to In Touch ministries should always prayerfully do so to their own home church first. The man's a pillar of integrity. I hope & pray that the truth of whatever prompted you to imply money was the reason Dr. Stanley has given his life to God's service is revealed to you & that your heart & eyes are opened to all that God has in store for you & your family. I prayed and ask others to pray for me so that i could know what to do in my life. I struggled in a decision i have to make. My phone died. God NEVER fails! I can testify to that. The doctors told me that some results in my lab tests had come back very low. They wanted to follow up on 3 months. I said I am whole through Jesus Christ. I went back after 3 Months and thank you Jesus. ALL of my labs came back within NORMAL range. I accept what the MASTER pbysician Jesus Christ says above all others. Amen🙏

Rest well Dr. Stanley. Another great teaching. Well...I don't know about you all but I'm going to meditate on God🙏🏾right now. Btw Joshua 1:9 is a great scripture to memorize. It is just what I needed as I gear up to teach the 90 day bible reading group. The first day of the 2nd challenge is May 1, 2023. I can't help but to give God the honor and praise. The first time around with a group I was extremely nervous. I didn't understand why called me to do this challenge but pushed through and obeyed. I still get butterflies but nothing like the first time around. Joshua 1:9 is so fitting. Thank you Abba father God for hearing my cry even before a tear dropped down you knew. I love you. In Jesus name amen🙏🏾

I had this happen to me about a year or so ago: We had been getting a lot of thunderstorms coming through the location where I live, and I have gotten into the habit when it's thunder-storming to turn my TV and computer off. Well, I began to pick up on something -- Thunderstorms are a good time to meditate on God and listen to Him. I really believe God spoke to me through those several weeks of thunderstorms and wanted me to meditate on Him. Like, turn the TV off and just be still and listen to what God has to say! Since those weeks that those thunderstorms happened, I have been more in the routine of setting aside time throughout the week to meditate more -- even without thunderstorms!

I know church sermons alone will not help me much and I picked up books to read. From there i know the impt of mediation as written in Leviticus about clean animals that chew the cuds which illustrate that true Christians will mediate upon His Truth. Indeed he is able to show us very clearly the impt and benefits of Meditation. Wow, a series of sermon on mediation by him. I will listen to all of them when I am free. I like to listen to him. I like pastors who teach me to obey God, to cultivate virtues, to purify my mind and my heart. Grace alone is not enough. We have to make an effort to obey, to become like Christ gradually. It brings us joy when we obey. His voice is calm, makes me feel safe and relaxed. He brings warmth to my heart. He is like my grandpa.

This is so important, we all need to meditate each day on Gods word. So many distractions on the TV and news Media, internet social media. No matter your age, we all need Guidance and direction on how to live as a believer in Jesus. I pray for my family members, many are far from God!

There are so many false preachers on the internet that don't preach the true words of God. As a young mom of 35/40 around 30 yrs ago , after my kids would leave for school I’d turn on my radio in Tx sit dn at kit table listen to In Touch. I’d read along learn his word take notes and dr Stanley’s Voice has stayed in my mind all these yrs. “ listen, listen “ he would say like a father I never had talking to me...😪😪😪 Training me up as I should go win Gods Word. Husband lost job and was given 3 cities to move to w jobs.... we decided on Atlanta cause Dr Stanley was here. We went dn town for about 13 yrs then our kids wanted to follow Andy to his new church and went there about 4 yrs then settled in Duluth at a Church. Every time we visited another church there would be my notes 6 points or 5 points on those verses and generally the pastor would hit on 3 points then tell a funny joke and a story but there I see in my Bible notes from Gods word no jokes no time taking up stories but him teaching Gods Word most all the time. Today I had been listening to him on YT teaching on Meditating on Gods Word not knowing just how much I was about to need that teaching then I got very saddening upsetting news..... I finished the study and my mind and heart somehow are clear when a few min ago I felt I could do nothing but get under covers. Yes when we trust in God proclaim He is our refuge and strength he becomes that for us. God is so comforting and I know He is here present w me for me in all situations...... and it started bk at my kitchen table a young mom hungry for love and found the most faithful love I could ever want. What a beautiful testimony! I can relate to this so much, as a SAHM of many years. It used to feel like such a prison to me to be stuck at home all the time, but now I realize that it's been an important time of education and training for me. I've spent so much time over the years (although not as much as I should have) meditating on the Word and listening to sermons. There is no way my family would be where we are today without this precious one-on-one with the Creator of the universe. God bless you, sister. May the Lord continue to strengthen you and prepare you for every evil day that you will encounter in this life. 🙏

Dr. Stanley was a wonderful preacher. Biblical, honest, and straightforward. I can only imagine the reception he received upon entering heaven. Absolutely. The enemy seeks to brainwash all people, to bind and kill. When you seek God, live and think like Jesus and listen to The Helper (Holy Spirit) you will find out who you are. Not a worldly brainwashed person, but a Queen, a King..sons and daughters of a Holy God. People are beautiful, smile because you are who you are and all people are meant, to be beautiful, can be saved in Jesus Christ. Give Praise in the house of God! 🙏

Thanks for courageously telling us what God’s Word says Bro. Charles! Please invite more like minded people to humbly pray to God for forgiveness! If we don’t wholeheartedly obey all of God’s Word we cannot expect transformation! We’ve partially obeyed God’s Word and we must confess like David! His punishment along with His Grace and Mercy is bearable!
