Just wanted to also say that, with my basketball IQ & if players like myself who are slashers, it would be awesome to be rim runner experts again IF we could get point guards & others to get us the rock when they see us running out for an open court fast break. Thanks for the video @BadgePlug it’s always helpful when you post. Curious what a game would look like if you ran with or against LakerFan? Anywho….thanks again

In regards to standing dunk meter and driving. If you're moving before or after you actually go into driving dunk meter. The reason the meter was so big at 6:16 is because he was moving while receives the ball. So it registered a driving dunk. This games dunk mechanics are broken. So badges like posterizer will pop up for standing animations and fast twitch will pop up for driving.

Remember THIS IS FOR CONTENT so don't you dare think without defense you good. There's has been A LOT of people stressed out cuz they only put on perimeter defense and leave the rest alone. Just appreciate the many builds he uses but PLEASE DONT THINK THIS IS A META BUILD and this is coming from a "casual" even tho I've been playing 2K since the game first came out on the Dreamcast

Oh yeah I totally agree with you if he thinks that no defense is going to cut it he really is crazy. I have a similar build with a 99 driving dunk perimeter defense and I made sure I had bronze Interceptor for steals on my build

To be fair I’ve won at a high rate (and showed it) on many “no defense” builds. This build isn’t necessarily “meta” but could dominate in the right hands. That’s why I said most people would probably be better off with Gold.

@@BADGEPLUG 1st Badgeplug responded so new phone who dis? 2nd that's the definition of skill gap cuz wit no defense and you're stopping people is ridiculous. 3rd I know it's team ball but that just proves how non realistic this game no matter how many ppl say it is. A player wit "no defense" will get tortured in basketball. You getting iso all the time

I’m highly tempted to go back to my favorite build as a pure slasher with a 99 driving dunk & 99 standing dunk again, especially after watching this video. I’m running with a 2 way slashing scorer where after years of not being able to hit jump shots (2k17 last game was able to hit mids & 3s consistently) I’m now hitting jumpers. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ with the new patch/hotfix coming….but I am curious if it is possible to get the same result as this on my current build or a 2 way Slasher at the SF 6ft 8 build like I’ve been in previous 2K titles & with both VC & MJ dunk packages?

Ur not gonna have any other attributes tho😭 u can finesse in this game but you can only have like 3 ratings in mid 90s to still be versatile

@@JeanCJP I respect your opinion. I was just curious if it would be possible. Hell, I’m not opposed to having just nothing but finishing & defense on a build. I don’t have to shoot Js in games because for so long I’ve become accustomed to not being able to shoot with a high enough attribute points for slasher type builds. This is the first year I tried something different that has shooting abilities, I just got lucky with my current build to be a “slasher.” The build is really a 2 way scoring machine but because I have the minimum amount of finishing attributes that I finessed in order to get the name of my build.

I have a build with 97 driving dunk build but forgot to up the vert by one🤦🏾 but I get all the contact animations but my meter is so small

Ur dunk meter small bc you need to learn the lanes to activate the meter. If someone is in front of the rim you will get a small meter. If they’re a bit to the side where your player has view of the hoop you will get a big meter.

Yes meter is smaller if defender is in a good position. If you're wide open or the defender is out of position. The meter is much bigger. Even bigger than 23. But... you still have to green dunks to make them unlike 23.

Nba2k needa follow UFCs lead with my career. Online needs default build stats depending on how u want to play n allow u to change it when ever u want. VC should only be for sneakers accessories cloths tattoos boost n all the other shit u can live with out.

Definitely does. My pg is 6’8 with a 96 driving dunk and 84 strength. I throw shoulders and posterize on not just guards, but even big man that have lowers strength/interior defense. Strength basically helps me be a bully in every way

I had a 99 posterizer in 2k23 and that shit losses me off so much hof everything I needed and after some patches I can’t contact dunk nothing some I’m contact dunking everything with out meter or with meter but what’s crazy is what some build where doing with a 87 driving dunk and I got a 99 but this nigga with no hof finishing badges can dunk in any big no matter interior defense rating and block rating but me with my 99 is just fucking ass getting snatch block and shit by mfrs with bronze defensive badges and shit I defiantly would of took my dunk down to like 88-84 cause I felt like that’s all I needed if these mfrs going crazier then me but I was a two way so not being able to dunk every time I attempted with meter or with out I felt like I sacrificed too much for the 99 driving dunk and hof badges and it wasn’t even worth it when all I really needed was a 84-88 could of had better shooting cause my two way finisher couldn’t shoot nothing. It a free throw but in 2k20 I was goated won 1v1 rush for the first time vs centers big poppers or post playmakers and I was able to clamp play shots too with the left right cheese going on I was straight that fancy foot work badge was too op they need to add it back and take away how it use to freeze the defender on the hop that’s wa the only op about it is how and it would freeze who ever you hop step on

Do not go for 99 dunk it’s the same as having a 70 as long as someone is near you it’s gonna make ur meter small unless there riding hip but even if there’s someone grazing the paint it’s smaller than my will to live after getting 97 dunk and not being able to dunk on spud webb
