Sohyang hasn't spoken about this performance of "The Power of Love" that I know of in any interviews. If anyone knows of any, translated into English, please let me know. She is able to convey so much emotion with her vocals and tambre of voice that she is simply superior to any other female voice of our times. If you aren't moved to tears when you hear Sohyang sing, you need to check yourself for a pulse. And she is so _perfect_ in her performances! She _never_ makes a mistake! As you said, one can't help but wonder whether she is lip syncing from a studio production, but that is never the case. 🤷‍♂ Early on in her career, another South Korean singer told Sohyang that she needed to put more emotion into her singing and she took the advice to heart. She is the most moving and spectacular singer I have ever come across in my 65 years. I am not kidding either. As a retired studio/touring audio engineer who has toured with bands like Aerosmith, Metallica, Kiss, and Chicago in my opinion So Hyang is currently the best female vocalist on the planet. It's not only her vocals that are so stunning but the level of emotion she's able to instill in every performance. She's actually a much more talented singer than Celine.

'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'The Power Of Love', showcased only a small sample of the flexibility in her voice. In 2023, So Hyang's vocal range is still ridiculous, and her breath control remains insane and unmatched. Second time, perfect pronunciation. Her name has two syllables so no extra added vowel sound in the middle. This is an open concert so more laid back then your last reaction to Bridge Over Trouble Water which was a contest song on Immortal Songs 2. As someone else suggested, her "I Have Nothing" a Whitney Huston cover. But use the DMC Festival version where she wears a blue dress. You have probably already read in comments that Sohyang is a cancer survivor so we want to be sure you have the best clips.

Imho, there are 3 versions of Sohyang singing. Version 1: In concert, she sings close to the original singer version just like the one in the video. Version 2: OST. As she has to follow the songwriter composition, she doesn't do incredible vocal gymnastic 😂 Version 3: In competition. These were where all her legendary covers come from. She goes crazy with her reinterpretation of the orig version, and those were the most memorable ones, like Bridge Over Trouble Water.

i was a bit disappointed when you said you had only reacted to her singing once. for KZfaqrs that do reactions to singers singing, Sohyang is one of those singers you must react to as many as possible. it is pointless for me to say how phenomenal she is as a singer or this and that about her here. instead you should listen/react to her more in order to understand why countless viewers are suggesting you to check out her singing or asking you to do more reactions to her performances etc. you just have to find it out yourself if interested. This performance is not mind-blowing. This song is too easy for sohyang. So we can't see Sohyang's real vocal ability. I prefer new versions than old. Anyway you don't realize what sohyang is and can. Of course Celine Dion is great singer but Celine is no near to sohyang on all aspects of vocal.
