In the last couple months I have been praying in tongues a lot. Then in the last month I have prayed for a waiter for his hip pain and he was healed, then I prayed for a women with pregnancy problems, the next sonogram was normal. God is able to work through me more now. I'm going to be praying even more in the spirit. AMEN!

Such a helpful study on praying in tongues. The link with Ezekiel 47 opened up all sorts of connections! It also prompted a question. When Jesus said "as the Scripture has said" is it perhaps that from His perspective all Scripture had already been written. If this is possibly true, then He could also have been referring to Revelation 22:1? And perhaps Matthew 24 may be a summary of what was already "Scripture" in Revelation. Help!

I have a Question, Pastor Rick said that when you get Born Again That the Holy Spirit comes into you, But I thought that we Received The Spirit of Christ. Like Romans 8:9. Maybe I’ve missed something.

The Holy Spirit is given various names in the New Testament- The Spirit of Truth, The Eternal Spirit, The Spirit of God, The Spirit of Christ, etc. In Romans 8:9 it mentions the Spirit of God dwelling in us and also uses His title the Spirit of Christ. There is just one Spirit but different aspects shown in His various titles.

praying in tongues is a great thing, mostly it edifies ourselves. However, satan was a heavenly being and understands the language of angels and ALL languages spoken on earth, former and present. No scripture states that satan or demons cannot understand our praying in tongues. It does Not matter that they understand our praying in other tongues,if satan can't understand other languages, tongues, how can he tempt people of other nations? I pray,speak, talk in tongues and used for tongues and interpretation in church services. I don't care that satan can understand any language I speak in. God bless.

i get what your saying but what scripture says that Satan understands all languages? furthermore, Satan is just 1 being. demons and evil spirits are under his control, and that is who we are dealing with. i would say the demons and evil spirits definitely do not understand all languages, earthly or heavenly

In the book "Deliver Us from Evil" from Don Basham, which is a great read about deliverance he describes a situation in which somebody prayed in tongues during a deliverance session. Then the demon cried out that he could not stand this perfect prayer and left. Just had to think about this when reading your comment. But in the end God descides what you pray when you pray in tongues so it is great either way.
