Simply in awe of the word of God every time I hear it. Especially when Pastor Gary explains certain terminology as to what it actually meant in the original text, in this case the Greek language, the word comes alive truly and makes everything so clear in my mind. For me I appreciate your take. Personally I’m at a place where I not only want to live to glorify Christ while I’m alive AND also am looking forward to the rapture at the same time. It took me time to get to this point but it feels good 🙂

I listen to all his teachings. He is a great teacher Pulls everything out of a verse, things that make you say "read that many times but never really took notice of what it was (the verse) was really saying. A few times I have said " never heard that before " God bless you pastor Gary, may He always keep you preaching the truth. Andy Woods is a great teacher also.

Pastor - I live in a small (500 people) village in the Canadian BC cariboo mountains. Our church is tiny and has struggled theologically during/since Covid ( eg church closed and husband and I ran church from our house illegally for 3 months.). Just want to thank you pastor for being our interim pastor.❤ We spent 6 months in ladies Bible study following your teaching thru Revelation. Completing currently a Dr D Jeremiah end times study and I am excited to follow that with your teaching thru Acts. How appropriate to teach these women at our study about the proper working of the end times church, using the 1st century church as a template!! I pray I can thank you properly for your teaching when we meet!!

Pastor Gary has been called by God to preach. I listen to Pastor Gary for hours practically every day. The more I listen to him, the more the Holy Spirit uses his messages to change me. I am more sensitive and cognitive about what I need to let go of in my life and what I need to add. I feel stronger to face each day's challenges. Pastor Gary's messages help me put on the armor of God. This is something I must do daily.

Great message on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He is not a stranger … the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. (God is Spirit-and they who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We need His indwelling Presence as we are born again and yes we need His “upon” Presence… after salvation… fully immersed in Him. Looking forward Pastor Gary’s teaching on the whole of the book of Acts and the power that is there for the church if we will only tap into it.

Awesome, you are preaching on these differences of the Holy Spirit. I was blessed with a husband & Pentecostal friends that had experience and was able to ask questions. To some people, it seems scary, but it's not. It's very peaceful.

I'm thanking God for your obedience to learn His Word. By world definition, I'm a "Baptist" except I always knew through conviction and the reading of His Word that there was something missing in the doctrine in regards to the Spirit. I read what it is the Spirit did through the Disciples and God has not changed, so why do many in "this" religion believe it can't be done. I always said I guess I was Baptist +. I really needed that in depth look into the indwelling and "baptism" of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for being obedient to give what the Spirit has revealed about His Word! It's almost like for years I've read, prayed and waited to understand because I do not want to go on just what I'm perceiving without confirmation in His Word that goes with the conviction of His Spirit. God used this teaching today to answer that prayer. May God bless and keep you as you minister in His Name.

Can't get much more powerful preaching than from MacArthur though (as well as other Baptist preachers). I'm not convinced, I am opposed to "the baptism of the HS" separate from salvation. But I believe as you mature your understanding of and the power of the HS becomes much more real/effective in your life. As for John 20 and Acts 2, I believe they were indwelt with the HS in John 20 when becoming believers. In Acts 2 I believe this was a special annointing with the sign of tongues to begin the Church. And I don't see anywhere else in the NT that new believers should expect a second baptism of the HS.

i’ve jz shared this sermon with members of my Discipleship Group … ya, indwelling of d HS (at conversion) & baptism of d HS, being ‘empowered’, ‘overwhelmed’, quite a separate experience… which sometimes generate a measure of controversy. But Pas Gary has put it across sooooooo well, sooooo clearly… Praise d LORD 🙌👏👍👌🙏🏻

I was really looking forward to this lesson. So unfortunate to have a preacher who makes fun of those in earnest search of God. God made us who don't fit in Your little boxes. Pastor Hamrick...my understanding is that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a one time event. Is the "Baptising" or "Filling" of the Holy Spirit also a one time event (albeit a separate event)?

As powerful as the holy spirit is. A lot of Christians will forget about it. When they are presented with the dynamics of race in certain context. Race is the bigger force in the minds and hearts of many so called Christians. Even among the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. Yes, there are some exceptions. But they are only exceptions. They do not apply across the board. The general standard is racial dynamics are put first.

Christ wasn't ascended yet so that is why the Holy Spirit is with you and in you at salvation but we must be filled. So you are wrong to say there is more to be obtained. We must allow the Holy Spirit to act.
