The Rebbe didn't manipulate Judaism. He was like Rabbi Akiva who only saw good in everyone. In Jewish Law or Halacha women don't have as many mitzvois as men but the Rebbe brings proof from Torah and Midrash that women are very, verh important.

@J20101000 he never said or implied that women are better then men, he just said that they are important in rearing children in the way of judiasm and torah, and making a kosher home and also in addition to all this serve as an inspiration to all around them through their steadfast belief in the almighty and to their commitment to his laws.

@J20101000 your mind manipulate to think this that the rebbe meant, the rebbe didn't said even once man are inferior. If you can see with your own eyes, this was a talk for mostly woman( there was kippas in the crowd so i said mostly) and because of that his main talk was for woman and her duty to educated herself and the children, since the mother most of the time with the kids. Every one has a holy duty, that is a good summry for this video.

@macaron28 The 600,000 were able-bodied military men between the ages of 20-50 (IIRAC). It didn't include the priestly tribe of Levi, children, women, elderly, etc. However, every Israelite heard HaShem at Sinai; every man, woman and child; about 3 million people. The mixed multitude, which included Pharoah's Egyptian sorcerer-spies amongst them as you said, saw the lightening, fire, and other "natural" sights and sounds, but did not hear HaShem speak. (The Torah was meant for the Nation of Israel, who would disseminate the parts/commandments that were relevant to the other nations.)

The Rebbe talks about the greatness and specialness of the Jewish woman, not about feminism. The title is a serious misnomer and a serious affront to the Rebbe. The person who titled this does not know what "feminism" is, and that it has nothing to do with women's rights. Many great women are for equal pay and equal rights but decry "feminism." JEM would do well to find out what a word and an idea means before embarassing the Rebbe by falsifying his message with one key word in the title. For the Rebbe's real opinion of the modern "feminist" movement and the damage that it is caused first and foremost to women, see kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hN1jjJp916-Ypn0.html. Notice that the video at that link was titled with the approval of the Rebbe, not like today when people have paid so little attention to what they do or write that they've twisted the Rebbe's words to suit some political end. It is shameful to do this to the Rebbe's words.

yeah, the title is very misleading and i felt startled for a bit. I'm christian , so I dont know much about Judaism, but I do know Feminism is not something that would be defended by you.

In his second sentence he says "Kaballah" which gets translated here as "Torah". Is that right? In Yiddish is "Kaballah" the literal word for "Torah"? Tom David Minneapolis

kabbalah is part of the Torah that was given at mt. Sinai the literal translation is tradition because it was always passed down orally and not written down on till rabbi shimon bar yochai wrote down the zohar and it contains the hidden and inner meanings of the torah

There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’So he divided his propertybetween them. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealthin wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. “ When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(H) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(I) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(J) and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. “ Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ “ The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes(O) comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ “My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

Women are not obligated in biblical time bound mitzvos, but lighting shabbos and yom tov candles is only a mitzvah of the rabbis and is not mentioned in the torah.

matisyahup613 visit chabad.org to learn torah..the torah respects woman very much..it even says in perkai avot פרקי אבות that a man must honour his wife more than he honours himself..and their are many more things..the torah world is huge..you just dont have access to it..

Women are obligated in all time-bound negative commandments. Women are also obligated in all time-bound positive commandments that are bound up with a corresponding negative commandment. (Example: Kiddush on Shabbos)

concern for messiah has drawn too much attention away from the original dictum: to purify and bring holiness to THIS world, to malkuth. I know that in orthodoxy that is an abomination, but that does not make it untrue.

The Messiah is supposed to be in this world and make this world better, wanting that does not take away from the original dictum, also most of the messianic prophecies present in tanach talk about the generation that will live during the time of the messiah, and that the generation has to deserve the messiah, which is why orthodoxy is all about doing good deeds and preparing us for the time of the messiah, which is why concern for the messiah pushes us to do good and does not take away from the original dictum, wishing you an amazing year🌺

No biblical evidence to support this. Our torah unlike other religions was not God speaking to one man without witnesses. Moses spoke though God but the men were at Har Sinai who were healthy. Women may have not been there because you would die if you touch the mountain and children couldn't be there for that reason and it seems God through Moses is speaking to men. However both men and women have to fear but God trusted men to tell their wives would happened at Mount Sinai Like Adam telling Eve

That is no so. Men, women, and children were all at Mount Sinai when the Ten Commandments were given to the people.
