Over the past 5 Summers I have been using the Zeda and the Run Well engines. This is for the balanced Crankshafts. On both I use a Tuned Pipe, High Compression Heads, Stage tune Carburetor, My ALS is 744 feet above Sea Level, to tune for this altitude I'm running a #67 Jet. I use a long slow Breakin. One of the most important things to do is to simply heat these engines up 100% before asking the engine for Full Power. I'm just a Country Kid I tune these 4 CI 2 Stroke engines as I would a strong Chainsaw. Listen to the engine as it's running you want it to run in 2 cycle.

would it be possible to make the sprocket that is turned by the engine slightly larger in diameter. I'm sure making the clutch housing a little bigger wouldn't be a big problem

I don’t know if there’s larger sprockets available. Plus the room inside the casing couldn’t handle it without serious modifications.

Why they don't make a BT100 V2 with electric start and centrifugal wet clutch ? The BT80 has a very good bottom structure, amazing electric starter and a reliable wet clutch, but the top (the cylinder jug, exhaust and carburetor) is utter garbage performance, it's restrictive as hell, no upgrades at all !?

A wet clutch is the type of clutche found on most motorcycles that sit in engine oil. I'm pretty sure the bt80 doesn't have a wet clutch. I haven't seen any of these 2 stroke bicycle engine kits that use a wet clutch.

I’m always curious why everyone things a product should be something other than what it is. One possibility we’re investigating is fitting the 100’s top end assembly on the BT80. Hoping that’s possible 😊

@@nicksilva8966 Is the clutch bathed oil? Not meaning just grease or oil on certain parts.... But do you fill the clutch case up with say 120ml of oil? If so then yes it's a wet clutch.

Should do 40 outta the box.....put a 36 on the back and it should hit 50.....depending on what exhaust you use

The BT80 has a plenty of potential, but the company decided it to make these engines so restrictive and almost useless in performance, it barely climb hills. What a waste of untapped potential.

So underpowered it cruises downhill
