The song "The Prayer" made famous by "Celine Dion" and "Andrea Bocelli" is one of the most requested wedding songs I'm ever asked to play.
I know it's an unusual song for my channel, but let me explain. My lovely wife Paula, used her feminine wiles on me, yes lady she batted her eyes, and asked me sweetly for weeks to please do a recording of it.
I've been asked if this song is a Christian song. The Prayer is mostly Biblical, asking for spiritual protection, wisdom, and restoration, all of which glorify God. The lyric asking God to guide us with His grace to me is a cry for salvation.
J.B. Phillips, as he put it in his translation of Ephesians 2 said this... "God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love he had for us, gave us life together with Christ-it is, remember, by grace and not by achievement that you are saved-and has lifted us right out of the old life to take our place with him in Christ in the Heavens. Thus he shows for all time the tremendous generosity of the grace and kindness he has expressed towards us in Christ Jesus. It was nothing you could or did achieve-it was God’s gift to you.
"David Foster" and "Carol Bayer Sager" wrote the song, so for the accurate answer, you'd have to ask them. Let's leave it at the fact that it has a beautiful melody and this video is making my wife very happy...

Another beautiful video in your always-beautiful videos. The first time I heard this song was on Celine's Christmas album, so for me it will always be linked to Christmas; however, I can definitely see why it is your most requested wedding song as well. And yet again a perfect description. Very interesting information and profound insight. But most of all, kudos to you for making your wife happy! Like I always told my kids (quoting one of my Bible college professors in my class on Biblical Marriage), "If Mama aint happy, aint nobody happy!" But mostly most of all (see what I did there?), kudos to you for doing all to the glory of our Lord and Savior. My prayer for right now is that you will continue to make these videos for a long, long, long, long time and that your wife will continue to make these incredible suggestions for just as long.
