I would probably switch it around and say that Fuheng was her one true love And the emperor was her great love, because even to the end she loved Fuheng from a distance. She knew that once she entered the palace she could never be with him but if you noticed throughout the series she was always there to support him and vice versa, Fuheng was always there to support her in the best way they could.

Y cuando me topé con Story of the Yanxi Palace, la encontré espectacular. Hasta el momento, es mi serie favorita, tanto que ya he empezado otras tres y las dejo porque no las encuentro tan buenas como Yanxi Palace. La primera que vi fue El ascenso de las fénix y quedé impresionada con Chen Kun; pero la segunda de mis favoritas es The Rebel Princess y amé al general que interpretó Zhou Yi Wei. Ah, y me di cuenta de que la protagonista Zhang Zi Yi, trabajó con una puertorriqueña, compatriota mía, Roselyn Sánchez en Rush Hour 2. Mi tercera serie china favorita es El ascenso de los fénix y la cuarta Princess Weiyong. Me imagino que esa lista irá creciendo y cambiando cuando logre ver otra que me interese tanto y me haga olvidar a Wei Ying Luo y al Emperador Qianlong, ese hombre es super varonil y me encantó cómo actúa. Traté de ver una de Wallace Huo porque lo encontré interesante a él, pero ninguna trama es tan buena como la de Yanxi Palace, hasta ahora, para mí.

Vi hasta el capitulo 17 de Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, pero no la seguí porque no me gustó que el personaje de la emperatriz y de Wei Yingluo fueran tan malos ahí. Empecé Oh My General, Perfect Couple The Story of Minglan y no terminé ninguno de los primeros capítulos. También empecé The Sword and the Brocade, pero la pareja protagonista siento que no tiene química y tampoco terminé el primer capítulo. Oh, antes de Yanxi Palace vi Word of Honor y me encantó. Empecé Legend of Lu Zhen y me pareció súper súper interesante, pero no seguí viéndola porque la calidad es terrible del video es terrible y estoy pagando por verla en Rakuten Viki y no sé porqué no suben una versión de mejor calidad porque se ve súper borrosa. También empecé otra coreana Mr. Queen, pero ya mi oído se acostumbró al mandarín y la dejé. 😂🤣😂 Y hace unos días me topé con The Legend of Dugu y solo vi dos minutos y me encantó enseguida porque comenzó como El ascenso de los fénix y me gustó, pero no he tenido tiempo de sentarme a verla. The sad thing is the Emperor wouldn't see him because he knew he had did him wrong. He Knew that he had stolen Fuheng's chance at happiness and eventually would find out that he had condemned him to marry a conniving manipulative deceitful woman

I really never shipped Yingluo and Fu heng I didn’t think they had any chemistry, but her and the Emperor did. Besides Yingluo is a smart girl she can save herself and can plan ahead , so don’t use harem intrigues as an excuse. Y’all are just overeating it’s not that bad.

Cherry may Libiran You liar, Did you ignore the part where E Qing exposed them to the emperor? She literally tried to seduce the emperor while the empress was pregnant, and than tried to convince the empress to give Yinglou to the emperor. Where she wouldn’t let Fuca should Yinglou any kindness when she was in the snow because she was insanely jealous? How she treated her servants like crap unlike Yinglou and the empress. No there were only two victims in that love story.

He married Erqing to save Ying Luo, who knew she was a Psycho and Adulterous Heathen. It is sad that in trying to save her(Wei Ying Luo)he (Fuheng)lost her

None of these C dramas turn out how you think they will. This was the 3rd one I ever watched. I love them!

He made the choice to marry Erqing because she threatened Yingluo's life. Fuheng didn't want her to die because of him...he knew he was going up against powerful forces and he didn't want to risk Yingluo's life. He didn't know the Emperor had designs on Yingluo...and wanted her for himself...he just knew the jackass Emperor was a tyrant...and he wouldn't hesitate to kill her especially since he's been threatening her life for so long. He never denied his love for Yingluo when it came to Erqing....he was upfront with her from the beginning. He told her that he would try to get over Yingluo but he couldn't... and he never allowed himself to fall in love with her. Fuheng tried to find a way around the Emperor's decree by going to war...so he could win merits. He was going to force the Emperor to grant his request to marry Yingluo but he was too late.

I think Fuheng actually understands and respects her truly as a person and not as object of romance after he comes back victorious from war the first time and finds out she is now a concubine and thus forever beyond his reach as his wife but can still be his friend and ally. His maid helps him come to terms with it and they both make the best of their situation helping each other. When Yingluo helps Fuheng get to the frontlines to lead the army, instead of being held back by the emperor out of concern for his life, it was the start of a new relationship. He says to Hailancha as Ling Fei is chaired down the alley, to wish him well before he sets out, that he has perfect understanding with his best friend. Yingluo and Fuheng are both too determined and loyal to cheat, no matter the temptation, they are emotionally on par with each other in terms of honor etc. He reins in his dignity and helps her anyway he can when she is out of favor and abandoned. He even dares to intercede between her and the emperor to make sure she comes back from the Summer Palace to fight for her place in the harem against a new rival. That shows he truly understands her and her life ambitions. I love how they both take initiative to do what they think is right, that’s another thing they have in common. If their life wasn’t so complicated they could have been good together. However, she would never have reached her full potential as Fuheng’s wife. Her type of ruthless, devious, leadership was made for thriving and rising to the top in the palace harem. Her naturalness and honesty with the emperor is why he loves and values her as a person in her own right. Her forthrightness makes her the perfect companion to him, a person who everyone bows and scrapes to and lies to due to fear, but he can count on her to set him straight. She never says she loves him but spends her life showing him instead.

Its just that I feel like Fuheng was a little bit condescending during the time that he was trying to pacify Yingluo by urging Prince He to make amends for her sister by making her his concubine posthumously. But he eventually figured out how Yingluo's mind worked, that there is a clear line between the people she loves and hates, and that everything you do to her or the people she loves, you will get exactly what you gave. It was very heartwarming that even though Fuheng and Yingluo were never married, they still doted on each other inconspicuously throughout their lifetime. As they matured and got older, they finally understood one another and didn't even need words. I love that the are both loyal and true to their chosen paths and never attempted to have an affair even when they had a chance. With Fuheng, its a love that she is sure of and didn't need to play mind games like with the emperor. But I think it really is possible to eventually fall in love with the emperor in that long span of time. But even in the brink of death, neither the emperor or yingluo uttered the words i love you. Maybe this is the reason why the emperor is always curious if Yingluo loves him or not. And it makes life all the more exciting as he tries to find out, and he eventually fell in love.

Tbh Fuheng and Yingluo understood each other, they didn't need words to know if the other was hurt or not. Fuheng just acted recklessly out of good intentions, the same way Yingluo chose to humiliate herself in the snow because she couldn't stand the thought of lying to Fuheng just for the Emperor's benefit and because he was jealous and felt entitled to her.

The thing is, what Yingluo felt for Fuheng was pure and natural love borne out of admiration and the fact that they understand each other so well. The Emperor and Yingluo had amusing and witty interactions with each other, but Fuheng was always the one she showed her true side whenever she felt hurt and whenever she felt like crying. She was always comfortable around him on a deeper level; she acts fun around the Emperor but you know it's true love when you're not afraid to show your vulnerabilities to someone, especially someone as guarded as Yingluo. The Emperor and Yingluo's relationship started all because of it being a challenge and one-sided attraction for the Emperor, but Fuheng and Yingluo's love is stronger because it is built on actual sacrifice. Let's face it, Yingluo would have never been interested in the Emperor if he didn't prevent Fuheng and Yingluo from marrying each other. I see the Emperor's romance with Yingluo as forced because it was always one-sided at first (see Episode 26 when he told her to become his concubine and forget her love for Fuheng) whereas Fuheng and Yingluo equally loved each other from the start. Wei Yingluo and Fuheng are compatible because they balance each other out; the clever, mischievous woman and the honorable and silent soldier. Fuheng's values inspires Yingluo to be more selfless and open to love; she chose to sacrifice her dignity and kneel in the snow not because of gaining any power, but because of genuine love for him. In return, Yingluo is Fuheng's first sweet love, something that has helped him gain purpose in life other than serving his country by winning wars. Yingluo and the Emperor can also be considered compatible because they are similar in their reluctance to show love, that's why it's fun to watch them, but Fuheng was and will always be the one man that Yingluo would never be ashamed to admit that she loved him with all her heart, screw her pride and dignity. It's no wonder both the Empress and Fuheng died; the good and noble-hearted always dies first. Wei Yingluo loves Fuheng the same way she loves the Empress; Fuheng was honorable and kind to her, despite all the horrible things she thought of him. Yingluo appears cold-hearted but she is a morally right person by nature; she schemes and she deceives, and she's mischievous, but she is also loyal to you once you gain her respect. Deep down, Yingluo wants to surround herself with people she can trust with her life. She idolizes the Empress because the Empress was graceful and soft-hearted, and it's no wonder she fell hard for Fuheng, because he emulated all the qualities of his sister, the Empress. Yingluo dedicate her next life to Fuheng, not to the Emperor. Why? Buddhism and Chinese culture, reincarnation means living endlessly in circles. When Fuheng died, Yingluo stated that she would be with Fuheng in the next life, she is basically saying that she would love him forever in their next lives. The Emperor would have her in one life, but she will always be with Fuheng in all her future lives. Admit it, that's romantic as hell. She developed affection for the emperor because of all the things he did for her sake, but it's indisputable fact that Fuheng will always be her one true love. She will love the Emperor because that is her role in this life, and because she did it for the Empress at first and also for her own selfish goals, but when she reincarnates, nothing will stop her from finding Fuheng again and having that happy ending that they should've gotten.

I love this tread so much, in my opinion fuheng and yingluo loved and knew all about each other but where unable to set their own desires aside for this love, fuheng desired to keep yingluo safe more than anything and he couldn't let her get hurt for their relationship to continue, he knew she will not lie to the emperor about her feelings and she would die because of that; on the other hand yingluo didnt wait for fuheng because she knew that the moment he accepted his marriage they would never be allowed to be together, their relationship would destroy his career, the empress would be defenseless and her vengeance would never be archived, while she never repented of loving him it seems to me she understood they could never be. Finally about the emperor and yingluo, they have a really complicated relationship, doesn't seem to be about deep romantic love but mutual respect and understanding, yingluo doesn't fear using the emperor and doesn't care that the emperor uses her, there is also the fact that he is the emperor and yingluo understand what that means, she believes he is a good man and that in his hands are the lives of the citizens . To me yingluo is the perfect partner for the emperor, they are meant to be.

He's to blame....because Yingluo was upfront with him from the beginning. She already rejected him but he couldn't handle it...he's used to women throwing themselves at his feet so he couldn't understand why Yingluo was different. This was all a challenge to him especially after he figured out that Yingluo loves Fuheng and rejected him. He spent so much time convincing himself that Yingluo wanted to be with him because she wanted power....only to figure out that she wasn't seeking power but was following her heart because she loved Fuheng. He was raised to take what he wanted no matter what so because he wanted Yingluo he was willing to take her by force. He had no respect for the Empress at all. He was a selfish bastard who disregarded the fact that Yingluo was favored by the Empress....he wanted to make her a concubine despite the fact that she was in love with someone else. He had a choice but he chose to use his power to separate Yingluo and Fuheng...because he couldn't handle the two of them being happy. He even lied to himself in order to justify his actions. The only reason he got a shot with Yingluo is because she was trying to protect Mingyue and to avenge the late Empress....if it hadn't been for her devotion to the people she cared about he wouldn't have stood a chance. She used him from the moment she decided to be a concubine.

Fuheng didn’t trust WY enough to get herself out of trouble. She would’ve welcomed death as a friend than pleading her innocence for murdering her sister’s killer. WY avenged her sister’s death as promised and proved her love for Fuheng by fulfilling the punishment given by the emperor even if it kills her.

Her grandfather had a little political power and could easily use it to harm Yingluo. Fuheng didn't know the Emperor like Yingluo...so he didn't know that she wasn't in immediate danger....all he knew was that the asshat Emperor has threatened her life on numerous occasions but was stopped by his sister....since his sister was out of commission his only recourse was to relent...and agree to marry that nutjob to appease the Emperor's anger....and save Yingluo's life. He knew that Yingluo would rather die than to give in to the Emperor....but he didn't want her to die because of him.
