This band shaped me as a person, I had just turned 15 when this song came out and I was obsessed with Taylor and her role in Gossip Girl. Taylor influenced me in every type of way, the way I dressed and behave (no I didnt dress exactly like her, but she inspired me to make bolder choices in my fashion). To this day I have her on a pedestal of an amazing lyricist and vocalist, not many can say they were as influential and iconic as Taylor Momsen.

The Strangler lol probably but In that moment Jenny was too scared of Blair cause she witnessed Blair’s schemes first hand. Also if I’m thinking right Rufus wasn’t married to Lilly yet so she wouldn’t have enough money to beat Blair with it. Plus if she did send thugs and it traced back to her she’d probably get thrown in jail. Im not exactly sure how scared it made Jenny but Blair scared her a lot in the scene so she didn’t want to risk anything with coming back. Even though I think a few episodes later she did come back to meet with Tim Gun 😂

To clear some things up: she was 16 when this music video was filmed. At first it wasn't released due to her actually getting naked in the end (blocked by the intense white light) so it was tied up in legal till it was finally released. The song is about a tragic love similiar to Romeo and Juliet. Taylor has been in the entertainment business since she was 2 or 3. The entertainment business makes children grow up faster than average.

These lyrics sum up how almost every teen/young adult girl in the world feels at some point (maybe guys too, I'm speaking from a female perspective) Society pushes you down over and over, trying to mold you into what they say is right, and her striping is implying that she striping everything away that isn't her. You have to read between the lines, not everything is as it seems.
