Merry Christmas! I had intended to upload a Christmas episode from either Season 27 or Season 32 but I've had people in the past asking about this episode so I figure why not share it with everyone! Enjoy!

Yes, back on Monday, December 7, 1992, this "The Price Is Right" game show had Mr. Bob Barker(who's real 1st name's Robert) as its previous host just as his former announcer there was late Mr. Robert "Rod" R. Roddy!

The music cue for "Make Your Move" was used for that one, "Check Game" and "Cover Up".

@11:28, and the name of the FONT in the WIN sign is called DIGITAL COUNTER-7. And the font that READOUT is in, is called SEGEMENT7

Looks like there were sound effects problems during the 4th item up for bids, normally when they overbid, the buzzer goes off about three or four times in a rapid fashion (although it varied during the course of the show throughout the decades).

Pretty sure that's Ted Slausson I hear in the audience. He's yelling spot-on advice louder than anyone else in the audience.

3 days later, there was an accident on the set. Holly and Kathleen were hurt. The audience didn't see it thankfully.

What a crummy showcase the second one was.

Was this prior to Holly and Kathleen's accident with the stove in the showcase?
@jimmyboyzable5 жыл бұрын
That incident with the stove took place on Thursday, December 10th, of this week. This here episode aired on Monday & Dian was absent here but Janice would be absent on that Thursday show (she took a week off).

This is the one I was looking for. I think the SFX lady was drunk or something?

Never saw a technical difficulty. I heard a mix of the $1.00 in bonus spin/winning $10K in grand game and the losing buzzer. They started it before Rod was finished describing the item up for bids.

How many episodes featured the train depot showcase?
@trailblazer915 жыл бұрын
Hard to say. They were seen throughout the mid 80s until the 2000s
@jimmyboyzable5 жыл бұрын
The very FIRST Train Depot showcase came sometime in 1984 (and there were originally FOUR caboose cars instead of the normal three). Some seasons, it came up quite frequently (Season 23) and others it was shown very little (Season 29, three times total). The very LAST Train Depot showcase came in March 2009.

I'm surprised that Rod didn't say the 1993... on the cars in the show
@trailblazer915 жыл бұрын
It's possible they used 1992 models. I actually have an episode from January or February 2001 where they offered a 2000 MY Caravan.
@StLawrencePlace5 жыл бұрын
These shows are taped between the summer and fall of 92 so yes they’re using 92 modeled cars. Now this month on the current episodes they’re using 2019 models.

I'll say! Hoping a little higher price than that. Must be relatively cheap! Lol
