I was only four years old and in preschool when this episode aired. I remember that a couple of the younger teachers at the preschool I attended with the vintage 1980s hairstyles. I don't remember this day, but I remember the next day on Halloween of 1981. I was the Incredible Hulk and I got to go trick or treating with my older siblings in our neighborhood we lived in at the time. Damn, I miss the 1980s and was so lucky to grow up during that great decade.

I love these old-school commercials in the video. I was almost turning three years old in 1981 believe it or not. Rest in peace Bob Barker, and johnny olson. By the way, my late mother and I would used to watch the Price is right in Alameda California where I am originally from. Our channel that we would watch it on would be KOFY TV 20 at 10 AM before Perry mason program came on. And of course, this was before I started preschool.

It WAS the Family Feud theme, just using different portions of it than were typically heard on the actual show back then. They used it as a car cue for quite a long while in this period, not sure when it began, but they used it till around late 1983 or so I believe.

I prefer to watch the old Bob Barker episodes of TPIR. Late at night, I will have on Roku TV TPIR: The Bob Barker Era. Bob Barker was the GOAT as far as game show hosts go. I have nothing against Drew Carey, but he just could never, and still cannot, fill Barker's shoes. He was just more engaging and charismatic with the audience than Drew is. And George Gray is like a piece of dead wood as an announcer compared to both the late Johnny Olsen and Rod Roddy. They both were so much better and fun to listen to than Gray is. And I know they are all old now, but the Barker's Beauties with Janice Pennington, Dian Parkinson, and Holly Hallstrom were so damn attractive back in the day. Carey's Cuties are very attractive, don't get me wrong. But they had nothing on Barker's Beauties, that's for damn sure. And Christy, if you don't mind my saying so, you were very attractive back then. And looking at your profile pic, you still are. You definitely could have been another Barker's Beauty.
@kayandaeddings480310 ай бұрын
I share your sentiments. I love Bob Barker. All the old episodes with Bob, Johnny Olson, even the late Rod Roddy. Now Bob is up there with his two sidekicks. May all three of those gentlemen rest in peace. And also, he is up there with two of his former bosses Mark Goodson, and Bill Todman. And the rest of his Goodson Todman game show host and announcers up there. I even watched the ones with the surviving former price is right announcer rich fields. He was the one in my opinion the best person who took Rod Roddy‘s place.

Just remember that in the One Bid, you must remember the following 3 things. 1: Can’t Duplicate Another Contestant’s Bid 2: If Bidding Last Bid $1 If You Think The Other 3 Are Over 3: If Bidding Last Bid $1 More Than The Highest Bid If You Think The Other 3 Have Bid Too Low
@easyabc14042 жыл бұрын
Number 3, bidding 1 dollar more than the person besides you is totally NOT FAIR! And Barker don't change the biddder's order so it is always the same bidding second to last. Bidding 1 dollar more is a lazy bid. The other contestant had to made up his mind. Should have a rule that forbids bids under 100 dollars to each other. When a contestant made up his mind and bids 1,000 and the other next to him-her bids 1,001 dollars, the one with the 1,000 dollars bids CAN'T win. Kind of cheating. I'm 59 and i watched that show from near the beginning in 1975 and always have been mad at that situation.
