I knew a woman that was 19 and was to get married to a protestant, she was Catholic. One day in her small town her priest went to her and said, If you leave the CC God will forget about you"! No, I do not forget that priests are just as human as I am. That is why I dismiss their claim that they are hand-picked and called by God to the priesthood, that is why I do not kneel down to confess my sins to them because they are just as sinful as, if not more than, I am. That is why I always use critical thinking and evidence to evaluate anything the pope or any of the catholic priests says rather than accept whatever they say at face value because they are just as fallible and trustworthy as any stranger I happen to come across.
