Review of The Prince written by Niccolo Machiavelli in 1513. Machiavelli wrote this book as a guide for the new prince of Florence (Lorenzo Pietro de Medici), demonstrating his knowledge of ancient history/philosophy and hoping to prove himself useful to the new Florentine ruler. Basically, it was written as a guide on how to be the "best prince possible", and provided historical references of triumphs and defeats from past empires and emperors and the reasons for their successes or failures.
The Prince is fairly small at about 100 pages and the language used in on the easier end. I read the most modern translation by Penguin Classics, and in the video I went over key points that stuck out to me and touched on them with some thoughts.
