@@LEYPEN I like the role of LCY, it's too difficult to portray a protagonist and at the same time an antagonist.Inorder to protect his love one's (Xiaofeng)he needs to pretend in front of others that he doesn't love her but he was deeply inlove to her.lf his enemy find out that he loves Xiaofeng they are going to use her against him because Xiaofeng is his weakness that is why he followed the advice of Master Chai that he needs to be ruthless and his heart should be like a stone inorder to survived in the eastern palace and perform his revenge towards the empress and the Gao families who killed his mother and the whole Gu clan.In the other hand Xiaofeng loves LCY very much even though she knows that LCY is the one who killed her grandfather but she still loved him that's why she really hates herself for loving the same man twice, eventually she killed herself at the end

@@ree7973 he killed her grandfather and the Danchi for many reasons.as a revenge because of a past resentments between the 2 kingdom many years ago. the Danchi together with Gao, wiped out the Gu family. they also loot goods from the Central Plains captured his people and mistreating them as slaves. They assasinated his beloved brother the Crown Prince which was as heartbreaking and tragic for him. As for Gu Jian LCY warned him, informed his stepfather sword dueled with him 2x gave him ultimatum but still he took away Xiaofeng as hostage, which is a crime in their kingdom much more if she is a royalty

Also he killed her master in fitbof anger and jealousy. And not only killed him, he murdered him so ruthlessly while the princess was begging for him to stop! Is real love supposed to torture like this? He loved power. He was unbearable towards the end of episodes. Even his guard knew that so he let her go. If she didn't kill herself the war would have happened. If you think you want a person to love you so possessively without caring about your needs then it's your opinion. He loved her but it was too toxic.
