Khaki Kakiashvili, or Akakios Kakiasvili, was a soviet, then Georgian, then greek olympic weightlifter. He was the third man to win 3 olympic weightlifting gold, and is the 17th best weightlifter to ever live.

Lets take a moment to appreciate the effort of Vintage Lifts to make those awesome videos and the fact he also keeps it free to watch. I'm from brazil so its harder to support from buying merch, but I will do my best because this content have enormous value to keep weightlifting history alive

kakhi was one of the only guys at or near the top who had something left in the tank when he made his best total. he probably could have done 237, and definitely 190 in barcelona.

georgia had to wait 12 years between kakhi and georgi, and another 12 for lasha, which georgian will emerge to win gold at LA 2028? We've seen a super, and 2 middle weights, i think its time for a featherweight

Probably Pyrros Dimas, because he has more olympic medals (3 consecutive golds and 1 bronze)

@@nchinth It's a good point, Naim has the biggest Sinclair and Pyrros has had more success in the Olympics.

​@@nchinthSinclair just means he was the strongest tiny little guy, among tiny little guys. If you are trapped under a car, they are not going to bring out a tiny car for him to lift. Either you are stronger or you are not. Sinclair means nothing in real life.
