The Princess of Wales launches Christmas Baby Banks initiative

Our experiences, relationships and surroundings during early childhood lay foundations that shape the rest of our lives, and future society. Supporting parents and carers, who are doing their best to provide for their families in challenging circumstances is essential and can have a life-changing impact.
Baby Banks are warm, caring places for families to access equipment, products, clothes and toys to help relieve some of the stresses creating significant pressures on people caring for babies and young children.

This is a great way for them to learn that they are special and privilaged and that there are kids who aren't that lucky . They brought the kids without fuzz in private and secret (as we are finding out about this a month later) . The kids get to be in a small but safe environment while they learn 😍😍😍😍😍

👩🏻‍💻It is so good to see Catherine, the Princess of Wales taking her children and teaching them to serve. I got my kids to plan and prepare a meal to give to one a family having a new baby. When they learn to serve when they are young the children grow to be empathic and compassionate and to look around outside themselves. It is so good to see such an excellent example of guiding her children and being a leader for the world. 🙋‍♀️😘🥰🇺🇲🇬🇧

Those children are so well behaved and polite, a credit to their parents. They get stuck in and Catherine explains what it's for and why it's important. It looks like they brought donations from home too. How worthwhile.

This is such a wonderful, caring video. Princess Catherine bringing her children to volunteer helping with the huge job of sorting of dividing the donations for families in need. Not only have they learned the positive lesson of volunteering, but more importantly, they are learning about the thousands of children and families who are struggling and will be so happy to receive this loving outpouring of support from their communities during the holidays. The Wales children are caring and loving just like their wonderful parents. 💖

What a wonderful mother teaching her children the value of giving back to others and recognizing those in need. There is not a greater gift than compassion for others, and while I am sure Catherine and William teach many private lessons on selflessness at home, it is good to see George, Charlotte and Louis in action. William's father was just as much (if not more) of an influence on his upbringing. The King has done a tremendous amount for others, through supporting charities and setting up his own - The Prince's Trust. It was the Prince's Trust which gave a grant and mentoring that enabled Jimmy Choo to set up in business. Idris Elba credits the Prince's Trust for his success also. There are thousands of similar stories.

The RF do have great privilege and for that they are held to critique for every single tiny detail of their lives. Their children are bullied online by fools. The RF do contribute back to the UK Treasury to the tune of 2.2 billion pounds according to Forbes, all for the sun of 85 million pounds from the Sovereign Grant. Any charity they support brings a lot of donations in to help that charity. Look at Homewards, Look at Centrepoint, look at the Prince of Wales Trust, look at the charities regarding Childrens development. They do a lot for the UK. How much do you contribute to your community?

Growing up, my parents always had my brother and I help out at the holidays putting together food boxes, gifts and treats for families. I worked for a fire department, we adopted families and collected toys and brought Christmas gifts to families in our area. So wonderful and the best way to celebrate the season and help others out. Thank you to the Princess of Wales and her children for doing their part to support parents and families who need the extra help this Chirstmas season. And thank you for bringing back wonderful memories for me. Happy Christmas!

To give them an understanding that some children are not able to have the things that they themselves have. It’s what Diana did with William where she showed him how other people live. This is so wonderful. Catherine teaching her children at a young age to give back. I love that they took boxes out of their car to give as well.

Considering how much horror they produced for black and brown countries they stole its easy not to love them. I believe Charles just left Kenya last month after giving a weak apology for what they did. Giving a speech and having a fancy dinner does not right ones wrongs. Perhaps they will travel to those countries and actually reverse the damage they did.

I am not simply impressed that these kids are willing to do such good work with their Mom. I am shocked that 3 young royals even know how to fold clothes. William and Kate, you are doing a magnificent job with your children. Good on both of you, for keeping things as real for them as is possible in your positions and situation. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. It is so important for children to learn about volunteer work. I recall going to sing at local nursing homes and filling care packages for soldiers as a child. I'm in my 60s now, and still volunteering.

I got goosebumps. It is such a great and selfless thing to do and makes a huge impact. I'm in America and I just admire Prince William and Princess Catherine. I love how they are involving their children in initiatives like this one. They truly seem to be good people.
