The forward flash option is not a full series like the other 3, it is simply an option or play out of the offense that can be run. Basketball explained using NBA clips.

Atlanta Hawks (former asst coach for Spurs) runs the Princeton "Chin Series." Doesn't use a traaditional 2-guard front, the ball-side corner flashes up to receive a pass from the ballhandler. Team has to have players with high basketball I.Q , otherwise just run Pick & Roll. It's the easiest play to teach.

Thanks again for uploading these. They really help me out. Probably going to put this in and add a flare screen after the handoff with the forward and the center after the center flex screens. Should kind of look like Miami's horns fade play if that makes any sense.

So much better if you use a TRAILING BIG. 😀😀😀 Slowest BIG trails the ballhandler across MIDCOURT, then sets a Pindown Screen for the weakside corner player to flash high for the 1st pass

You keep saying, you think, its "better than triangle" - but whats to stop you from picking the best from everything, and making it work together? My team uses the Dribble Drive (calipari/wahlberg) as a primary, but to be able to shift gears, tempo and exploit mismatches, we have run the triangle out of it for some years. Now we´re experiencing a lot of physical play from other teams, also because weve moved up a couple of times, so Ive started implementing some Princeton into it, to release pressure off our guards. my best player, plays the 1 - so we want to get him some easy looks, and not have to work so much, to get em. its gonna be interesting! :D:D nice vids though - thanks for sharing

Randle could be listed as the PF, but Deng actually at high post.

Would you mind explaining the difference between nba and ncaa princeton (or are those like two completely different systems)? And is it planned that when you start a series you only get the options out of this series or should you teach it to get different movements everytime? Thanks

NCAA Princeton is not a different system. It's just run differently. KZfaq Air Force Princeton and you'll see what I mean. The cuts are more precise, there is more off ball movement. I would say it is better run in NCAA, but I focused on NBA in this video. I don't completely understand the 2nd question. Care to elaborate please?

Ok thanks i'm defenitly going to check out that I saw a video of former a nba player/coach (i dont know) explaining the principles of princeton offense on tv but he ran from the low post series to the double pindown of the chin series and i wondered if that was just a different progression of the series or if should look to mix elements of the series together in the flow of the offense

BallermusicProd That may have been another option I did not come across. I've seen that video too with Eddie Jordan, it may be another option but also i think he was just trying to show some of the best actions in the short amount of time he had to explain it.

I would not want my PF catching that pass at High Post, I would rather it be my OTHER forward at the 3-spot catching that High Post pass.

So Byron Scott really likes this offence, huh? 13 years later he's still using it.

Lakers didn't have a high I.Q center or power forward. D-Lo is a Ball Dominant pt guard, likes to shoot 3s off Pick & Roll (without passing). Bad ingredients for Princeton Offense. The new Lakers, Calderon & Deng would have been perfect !!!

Black make the screen and got the ball. He can't shoot mid-range; Black passes to Hill in the low post. Hill is not that capable for low post. Why Scoot uses this? It's not suitable for this Lakers at all.
