In elementary school and upper elementary we couldn't chew gum at all. Expet for the special kids durning tests. I was one of them!!!

In high school, it depended on the teacher. In Italian, HE/PE, Band, and Choir classes, there was no gum chewing. In middle school, there was no gum chewing at all.

My old high school music teacher used to have students walk around the classroom with a gum jar and everyone had to put the gum they were chewing in that jar.
