As a big-time Kanye West fan (as his albums have been like soundtracks to my life), this has been extremely disappointing and downright angering to see how Kanye is handling things. Kid Cudi (who like Kanye is one of the few people in music that I feel like personally makes music for me and made me feel comfortable with my emotions as a man especially struggling and dealing with depression, emotional detachment issues, and all that) has been one of the most loyal people in Kanye's circle and even during times of disagreement, has had Kanye's back. So for Kanye to just pull a Judas on him PUBLICLY doesn't sit right with me or with any rational thinking person who has a heart. For Kanye to be more than ok with having Marilyn Manson and DaBaby on Donda the former is an accused rapist and the other is just somewhat has some violent tendencies, let alone the infamous statement about aids) but Kid Cudi is cool with your ex's new dude, he can't be in the supposed "Donda II" (which I know, it's not a mandate for Cudi to be on Kanye's albums, it's a nice thing and you shouldn't deny people good music), is beyond hypocritical. Also, just him getting butthurt on the Billie Eilish incident (which honestly I was on Billie's side with it because Travis Scott's inaction was almost beyond unforgivable because there are people who are dead and their loved ones are never going to see them again, even if it was indirect and she was definitely taking a shot at Travis) and blindly supporting Travis Scott to stuff dealing with Kim and his family. There needs to be a wall of privacy with the stuff you're dealing with and putting it all out on social media isn't going to do you well.

Its very simple really, the problem with Kanye is the fact that we are still talking about this after all these years of his attention seeking ways. He’s in his 40s, yet handled his divorce like how a high schooler handles a breakup. And overall just seeks attention then when he gets it he blames it on the media. And what’s worse, his fanbase defends him NO MATTER WHAT. Always using “mental illness” as an excuse when A. kanye isn’t the only celebrity with bipolar disorder and B. Kanye has had YEARS and YEARS to get the help he needs but has obviously refused to get it. That’s on HIM. He needs to grow up already, but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if we are still talking about this 5, 10, 15 more years down the road.

It's hard to say with the mental health stuff. One part of bipolar disorder is an oversensitive amygdala which is the part of the brain responsible for fight or flight. A symptom of this is being irrationally rude, angry, and irritable and getting upset about little things that don't even matter. Not saying he's not responsible for his actions but this is literally how bipolar disorder works (as someone with several bipolar family members)

You sort of said this in your video, but I wanted to add a few of my own thoughts. One of the problems with mental health conditions is the lack of access that many people have to treatment for them, due to how expensive they can be. Kanye West is a billionaire who can afford the best psychiatrists and medicine in the world. He chooses not to. him having bipolar disorder is not his fault, but him letting it affect him, and dictate his actions as much as it does is completely his fault. Someone on instagram hyped up his "off the meds" album, making fun of him for neglecting his mental health, and acting immaturely. In response, he accused the person of being "crazyphobic". The problem with this is that when he uses his mental health disorder to take blame off himself for acting irresponsibly, not only does he ignore his own wrong actions, but he also paints mentally challenged people as a whole in a bad light. I love some of his music, but Kanye at his core is a fundamentally terrible human being, who does not deserve the platform he has.

Here’s my issues with Ye: 1. He takes every minuscule thing to social media that can easily be taken to a dm/text. I understand having no choice but to take this to social media (The Birthday Party Incident) but he does too much. 2. He’s beyond hypocritical. He’s mad at Kim for seeing other people but is literally doing the same. He talked about how brothers should stick together no matter what and let nothing get between them but let’s things get in between all the time. All his morals and believes never/hardly ever get acted upon. I mean literally like every feature on Donda was friends with Drake and they were beefing so idk what his deal is with Cudi & Pete. “Nobody can tell Ye who to do songs with”-TLOP tour show; but now Ye can tell friends who to be friends with. Crazy how times have changed. 3. He was right when he said “No one man should have all that power” bc he can’t seem to control it. He’s demanding an apology from Billie and if she doesn’t he claims to not preform. I’ve always at least acknowledged when Kanye was wrong and his chaotic behavior but never spoke/dove into like most ppl until now.

I genuinely believe this is happening because he is off his meds. When my grandpa passed away my grandma was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression and she acted the same way. She was starting drama with everyone, started ruining peoples shit, being really petty, wanting only yes people surrounding her, etc and we later found out that she was faking taking her medication and when she started taking them you could instantly she a change in her behaviour.

As a huge Kanye fan, I know this sounds crazy but I can point to a bunch of things he's said in the past or in music that makes me almost certain he's playing some sort of game. Kanye gets fuel from believing the world is against him while he's making an album. He always does twitter drama before an album, Donda 2 February 22nd and the promotional photo is of his home burning(metaphor). It's akin to how Michael Jordan would make up stories about the opponent in his mind for fuel. After the Taylor Swift situation the world was against him , but it fueled him to make MBDTF. He's tried to recreate that in the TLOP rollout and Ye with the slavery is a choice and Trump hat before the Ye album. Tbh I'm a huge fan , partially because I relate to some of his mental health issues and I think I understand why he's doing things. Also , I'm definitely no genius but I studied psychology in college for 2 years before dropping out and know how subconsciously people can create self fulfilling prophecies , but Ye is doing this consciously, to turn people against him. Ye also said in a recent performance art book after Donda , that he could never let the world love him too much. And also has litterally said he uses public backlash as fuel ,I think on Kimmel. I could debate someone on all the evidence that this is what he's doing and he's not really even believing in these beefs as much as the public thinks. He's manufacturing it. Major problem is , I don't think anyone else is in on it but him, and therefore he's hurting other people emotionally by doing this. As a major fan, I have empathy for him and just hope he doesn't go too far with this game. He has an obsessive and addictive personality. As a society, we support people with mental issues until they lash out or say something we disagree with.. he still needs to be approached with love, because the societal tough love of criticizing him is exactly what he wants. It's good for his sales and career but harmful mentally to himself and others.. and no one else understands the game he's playing, so his message falls on deaf ears anyway.
