Im glad Peterson clarified on men are NOT designed like that. I absolutely despise that description and find it an absolute insult to masculinity, men and God’s design making men out to be animals that is women tame. How do you justify that and then claim men are supposedly leaders, logical, rational and moral. But yes immature men act like this because there’s a difference in having a higher sex drive vs being designed to be an immoral animal ‘sowing his seed’.
@KingBowserVlog
@KingBowserVlog 11 күн бұрын
Well, they might not be "designed" for that but the temptation for short term pleasure can/will arise. A much better way to put it is whether or not men act on that impulse is what makes them mature or immature.

Take it up with the creator as it is very biologically ingrained in men. Facts do not care abour your feelings. And calling it immature or using shame and insults or trying to guilt men into marrying a washed up Jezzebel at 30 is not going to work.

I am female and my completely honest answer to Jordan's question "why not promiscuity and one night stands" would be; Both of that is very attractive to me. Feeling adrenaline in veins, pumping up my ego seeing that I am attractive to males, enjoying the privilege of paid dinners, gifts... It is all attractive like sugar to me. But, I know the price of it. I know the almost inevitable consequences of that kind of living...and that's not what I want. That's not the price I am ready and willing to pay. My peace, my stability, my future, my moment in Space have higher value to me than several years of living on clouds of generally dangerous hedonistic illusions.

Singleness is a gift to give your undivided devotion to Jesus. Know your worth in Christ and refuse to settle for anything less than G0Ds best. Be with someone who is going to lead you in clarity, purity, closer to Christ and the calling HE has for you. Idk I’m getting real sick and tired of my “gift.” People can call singleness a gift when 1) they’re in a relationship/married or 2) they haven’t been single and praying for a decade (or two). It’s real easy to say bs like that on the outside. No one who wants a family and has been earnestly waiting for God to fulfill his promise ever calls it a gift.

She's certainly a statistical anomaly compared to the peers of her generation and clearly wise beyond her years. The women who do opt for the Sex & the City route in their 20s will typically find out that their baggage will come back to bite them once they realize the time for finding a lifelong mate is running thin. Feminism has sold cohorts of young women the pernicious lie of prioritizing career above family, and many will only recognize that when it's too late.

Honestly y’all make up so many problems. The truth is much more nuanced, if a woman is still single by 30 it probably wasn’t her choice, she just didn’t find the one by then. I know many women who found their partners after 30 and they didn’t spend their 20s doing whatever they wanted, they just happened to find their partners later. Not everyone in their 20s is going nuts. It’s not a dichotomy of virgin vs. the whore. Life isn’t that simple even though you want it to be, most people fall somewhere within that category erring towards desiring or wanting a real and true love and most things we do, dating or otherwise, are in pursuit of those things.

And this goes for women & men. Contrary to red pill belief which what’s her face is toting here, most men are not on the sociopathic spectrum and are looking for love as well. Same thing with women. Women are just more easily confused and led astray because they’re well, women. They need protection which this society offers none. And men tend to isolate themselves in their frustrations whereas women tend to be more outward. Still everyone is confused because isolating yourself nor only hanging around narcissistic men will solve the issues you do desperately desire to solve.

I have a bro-in-law who spent his 20's sleeping with different girls every night. When I went to the bars & clubs with him, I was so impressed how easily he picked up gorgeous girls. Now in his 50's, he's jobless, not in very good health, and still lives at home with his parents. I'm really glad I stuck with my guns of pursuing LTR'S.

My best friend was super cool and popular and social in h/s, prom king, great physical shape, we used to train together, everyone knew and liked him. He got married had kids, now he’s going bald, stressed, hasn’t been to the gym or done any sports in years, antisocial, and stuck in Groundhog Day till he can retire from the rat race when he’s 60 or something. Meanwhile, I’ve been challenging myself outside my comfort zone, growing, learning about the world and myself, language, culture, food, nature, people (including intelligent, interesting male friends and yes, including beautiful women and I don’t just mean physically), generally experiencing my potentially one shot at life. Unlike my married friend I have no money stress and likely could get away with not working another day of my life if I didn’t want to. I’m free to enjoy my time on planet earth whichever way I decide to do so. Your story proves nothing

In my 20's most of the men I met were very immature or an asshole.It's still the same thing now in my 40's and I don't know why. Relationships always took TWO people willing to work on it. Unforutnately, I never met someone who wanted to commit to growing old with me like that. Plus, who's financially stable in their 20's, especially without help from their parents or college financial aid or their friends/co-workers from Target also hiring them!

The thing you need to realize is that, whatever you want to call it, we have an "aura" and an energy imprinted on our bodies.. and partnering with someone is one of the deepest most intimate way two souls can connect. Thus by not being selective with who you choose to be intimate with, or being shallow on evaluating that based on physical appearance alone, you are at risk of tangling your own energy with someone else's energies. We refer to sexuality as "purity" vs. "impurity" for a good linguistic reason.
@jakeh2049
@jakeh2049 Күн бұрын
Funny I actually agree with you on this view but come to a different conclusion. I would agree that mingling energy with the wrong person could have a negative affect on your energy. But in my experience most people are not necessarily “bad” and there are literally millions of beautiful souls with great energy and sharing that isn’t a bad thing. I think it comes down to if you approaching this from a ego-derived taking and zero sum mindset vs from a more present-moment open and sharing mindset.

My life hasn’t turned out as I would have liked either. The older I get, the deeper my problems become and the more unlikely they will ever be resolved. And it’s a hard thing to even process because I truly believe we are in the early stages of a total societal collapse. I’m just one man…who cares, right? But watching civilization break apart at the seams…that’s a very serious prospect. I could theoretically fix my problems but I don’t think there’s anything that can stop what’s happening on a global scale. My only advice is to try and enjoy your life as much as you can. Don’t take it for granted. Because it can all be over tomorrow.

Honest question, catholic here too. Why do you want to get married? You are past childbearing age. If it's for struggles with urges, you made it this long, why not continue? You could lead a life of service? Is it loneliness? Are friendships not fulfilling? If your past the age of having children I would think your life could be a gift of God's love to the world by serving your communities and that can be fulfilling. Normally marriage is to start families which is fulfilling and an act of God's love in service to your children.

Short term vs Sleeping around. People have dated for 6 months or less, which is different from sleeping around. Fabulous conversation! I learned a lot from casually dating about myself: social awkwardness, a lack of social cue and body language, how to converse, etc. etc. Henry Cloud wrote a fantastic book on it. Found my husband at age 28, and we’re around the same age as well. Very happy. Marriage is indeed the best foundation for family and stability. I hope anyone who struggles with their internal loneliness finds a path to companionship, be it a friendship or relationship. Longterm companionship leads to stability and safety, and is able to nourish it. I hope everyone can heal their wounds, whether self-decided or externally decided. JP is spot on culturally and based in the maturity level of males vs females when it comes to mating strategies. It’s better in the longrun to be monogamous in a relationship to assure the child is yours. Whereas if you’re promiscuous you’re at a higher risk of illegitimate kids you don’t have access to or being hooked on child support whilst possibly not even being the father of the child. Like attracts Like.

I was actually discussing polygamy with a very close group of friends, and 2 of them were really thinking into applying that to their own lives and were kinda "preaching" the concept of not being locked in a relationship, and this video really paints my idea as well, believe that always searching for that sexual arousal and feeling with multiple different people leads to more instability and less control of our emotions, than finding a companion that you can share and spend your life with. I'm not saying it should be forever, as nowadays I find it more hard to find that partner after getting out of a 9 year relationship, but I truly believe we find solace and comfort when we get to share that with just one person. And I don't see anything wrong with only wanting to do that with 1 person only.

I grew up at the beginning of the feminist movement and what a sea change. From one end of the stick to the other but the actual sweet spot for me was having a family also and my career path wasn’t linear. Did it affect my career path. Certainly but not in ways one can wrap up in a neat conclusive sense. Perhaps I am in the field I now am due to the many experiences I have had in all dimensions. There is no one path. As someone in a long term relationship and had more short term relationships than should be legal, I believe short-term relationships change your brain to focus on finding and extracting value from fleeting relationships. It results in you not having any space for long-term thinking. That's probably why it's associated with criminality. Once you're in a long term relationship you are able to plan your life 5, 10 and 20 years out, which will inevitably reduce to propensity to do something stupid and/or criminal.

Short term relationships are natural. Long term relationships generally end up in long term celibacy.

Now this is truly mesmerizing, two adult members of opposite sexes sitting down an having a normal converation. About sex and relations. In america. Thou i must say, intelligence truly have a pacifying effect on the conversation, not trying to constantly overcome one another out of respect, shure puts on an impact too. Imagine to sit down and participate on this life journey, telled by a young woman with normal values and a good portion of common sense. I said it before, and i say it again; if you could present 100.000 wonderful, intelligent, high value women like this for the young men in america, you would run out of them in ten minutes. Oh, and Jordan, is a king. No one could ever say anything else but that.
