roughly 8 cel hypos per 3 months for F2P. Is that enough to you guys? If not, how many do you think is fair?

Like ima be real here , i think stargaze system in this game is 100% a money making scam system. For my taste it should be illegal to have this kind of scam in a game. At this point just put the supreme+ heroes in the shop for 10k dollars

To put it into perspective how much rankings matter, as a F2P on S1 with 97 days of login, I got 58 orbs and a total of 144k guild coins. I have never spend a single one of these resources. ~32k of these guild coins came from the one time guild challenges that Lilith won't refresh for seasons for whatever reason. 20 of these orbs also came from the Trial of Abyss that is pre season one time content. So I realistically only got around ~112k guild coins in this entire time from "refreshable sources". Rounding it up that's 120k or 4 copies. And if I add another 10 orbs for the July reset that's around 68 orbs. Let's say I somehow manage to not get hard pity and get 2 copies. Keep in mind that from now on, in 100 days I will not be getting ~70 orbs but more like ~50. That would be 6 copies in a span of almost 100 days. If they don't change anything at all, a S+ Cele/Hypo from scratch will take me and many others who aren't high ranked, around 8 months. 2 full seasons in which they will release 4-6 new Celestial/Hypogean.

An idea to make the game more fun and hype for all players. When they do a new release, they should do a 7 day login event for that character. where every day you log in you get some kind of reward. like: Day 1: 20 blue essence. Day 2 1 stargazer crystal. Day 3 5 yellow essence. Day 4 3 stargazer crystal. day 5 10 yellow essence. day 6 5 stargazer crystal and day 7 1 copy of the new hero. So its not an extreme amount of resources that makes whaling obsolete, but its enough to give some hype every time a new hero is released. This would be the format for the stargazer heroes, and for the other heroes it could be rate up letters instead. so it gives people a chance to get the heroes. In addition i think they should change the pity amount on stargazer. i think to go to 40 to hit pity for something as tough to get as stargazer. i think 30 would be much more realistic like for epic banner, would make more sense.

The problem is the rewards structure, after a certain point any meaningful rewards just completly dry up. Faction tower, afk stages, trial of the abyss, arcane labyrinth. All of them reach a point where there isn't a worthwhile reward for pushing them any further.

I am all for giving F2P players stuff for free. My gripe is that as someone who is happy to spend a little each month, you basically get nothing. Like none of the bundles in the store are really worth anything. The only real exception is the monthly gazets and the growth bundle. Looking at the limited bundles: 20 epic pulls $80, 20 stargazes $80, which could easily amount to no characters of any interest gains. for $160! I could by like 5 games of my steam wish list for that. Give me something worth spending my money on and i will spend it. and the Wales will spend even more aswell, and maybe F2P players will spend a little aswell, cause why not, if it was way more reasonably priced. Everybody wins

The majority of the games I played in the past that were centered around introducing new characters, always had a launch event paired with it, that would 100% guarantee a free copy of the new hero. Often paired with a dungeon or other event to gather tickets, and then 20.000 tickets would buy you another copy, and the event would give you 160.000 tickets without spending if you just did your best every day. The end result was a playable yet not too strong character that you can build later, but always accessible through gameplay. So yes, the spenders would have the character maxed out, but you could still end up with a 2/6 or 3/6 copy of that character and compete with it. I do like your video, but I feel you are being too kind with your words, you can be much harsher with your judgement that they are destroying their own game with the current direction they are taking.

tower res is just irrelevant... 30 materials to make equipment that are already capped and 20 essences that are like 12minutes of afk for a floor that it takes days of investing in your account and then every 5 floors you get the badge to level artifacts... like... seriously, the income of yellow material for weapons are completely dog shit another thing is, the last pass they sold were basically 39 gold rewards out of a hundred....like, seriously... the most scarce resource in the game, gold. /sarcasm

My Reinier is only mythic, i havent ascended my Dionel at all, and i'm still trying to get Scarlita, and also don't have Phraesto or Berial. How am i supposed to Talene. You get f all stargazes, and the drop rate is so bad. For perspective my power is over 29billion, i have the majority of core characters fully ascended, i started playing end of week one after the game launched, and i have played every single day since. Its fare to say i am in the top 100 players on my server, ranked 24, and one of the top 200 players in my district, ranked 114. I'm also in the top 100 in both arena's I am in a small guild tho, rank 93 in my district.

5 mins ago is crazy. I'm quitting the game due to its unfairness in rewards based on server rankings, and lack of resources to get once you're done exploring the map. I'm genuinely disappointed in Lilith games atp, not gonna look back at my decision, it is what it is, sad to see a game with good potential go to drain.

Even is a low-mid spender 100$ for 20 pulls is just a straight up scam, considering that all hypos are USABLE at m+ +10. I'd rather spend that money on another game. We need another scamgaze source for a longterm solution. Theres also barely any incentive to keep playing, getting stuck at 1/2 copies for any breakpoint (m+, s+) in any character just feels awful, and well know how that goes, either u get it soon or u never get it.

Tbh this game has a potential but they should stop trying to fix everything and look at the root causes. 1. The non-rewarded content: Labyrinth and Honor Duels rewards should be more generous and competitive. 2. Temporal Essence should be given a way to farm it, rather than just the Dream Realm. They should introduce a farm mechanic with chests, opening them with give you rng resources. 3. Epic & Stargazing Summoning should be given a way to farm them and generously. I understand that they don't want everyone all a sudden burst to Supreme Plus but holding everyone back doesn't sound a good solution. Instead, looking into the upgrade system and introduce proper more tiers for heroes upgrades. 4. Uptapped potential for weapons system upgrade. 5. Optional but can they at least design more varieties for the pop-up packs? Their packs are going with the same predictable patterns. My god!

Half my friends list has quit. Half the guild has quit (top 1 on server). Half the top whales on my server has quit. And all this happened within the last 3 weeks. Now I have people messaging me saying they might quit... because f2p/low/mid or even super whales cant keep up with acquiring/spending for stargaze. It costs too much even for whales. They are killing their game. Add more stargaze to the game or EOS in 3 months

Kind of to add to your math, my f2p account is about 62 days old - and I have done all available events / content - and the total number of Stellar Crystals I have been able to get during that time is exactly 80 (I know that because I have had to pity 2x Reinier). I have been in champions arena for long time and bought the crystals every week, also I always bought the guild store and recruitment store monthly crystals. I guess there can be small difference between accounts, because the guild chest can have 1 crystal some weeks (I'm also in n1 guild, so max chests). And isn't like 20 of the 80 crystals from abyss tower.

It would be great if they do an event every time they bring a new Celepogean to the game. Doing some daily quests built around that new character, maybe some mock battles where you can use this hero already at mythic plus to see how it works and being more hyped about it. And inclusing some great rewards like 1 free copy of the new hero and maybe up to 40 stellar crystals if you do the whole event. That way everyone would be excited to participate in that event because you would get basicly 2 free celepogean units and could use the stellar crystals even if you don't plan to build the new hero. Maybe even include some low spender package for like 20$ where you can buy another 2 copies of the new hero. That way low spenders could build a new celepogean halfway to m+ and a lot of people would be temted to buy this package if they like the new hero. A luttle less income from the whales could be compensated that way and all players from f2p to low spenders up to whales would be way more excited about the addition of a new celepogean

I'll be honest Volkin, but the situation you're in is like a super super low minority where probably only 10-20 players share that same situation. With how important reiner is, and how good he is in the meta (especially with pretty much every cc and tierlist pushing towards getting as many reiner copies as possible), almost everyone went for him. I literally got him mythic+ a few weeks ago and was relived I can finally start going for Scarlita. Actually if I'm being honest, the fact that you decided to skip this huge part of the meta to start saving and all of a sudden we get Talene, one of the most hyped characters in AFKA who most likely will be busted as crap, is a bit weird and sus.....then again, I'm sure it's a really lucky coincidence on your part. I just figured with how big Talene is, she could've been a perfect anniversary unit. The fact of the matter is, we need to see communication from the devs themselves on their plans with scamgazer pulls and cele/hypo units because things CANNOT stay the same. Your suggestion of giving away a free Talene is definitely a step in the right path but it's not enough because 99.9% of the time, one copy does jack in this game. There are many great suggestions in the comments but personally I would like a new mode that rewards scamgazer pulls on a weekly basis, around 5 a week would be fantastic on top of other changes mentioned by other people of course.

It blows my mind that someone can just drop a mad amount of money for a digital character. I can only see the worth on spending money on the growth bundle and the travelouges. I don't have it in me to buy dragon crystal bundles it's a waste of money.

13:25 Have you considered also applying this logic to the Champion Store? If on average 30 stargaze pulls is 1 celehypo then 1 celehypo costs 36 000 Arena coins. For that price you could buy almost 4 of the other units in the store. I'm still buying the stargaze orbs since there are no other sources but the value feels pretty bad

f2ps and those on early servers will have it rough, because those 20 pulls a month from reaching champ arena helps a lot. If you aren't reaching somewhat high rankings and getting every stargaze pull in shop, then it will legit take around 8 months just to m+ without any events. by the time you do m+ a hypo/cele unit, a couple of ones more broken ones will be released by then.

They need to fix stargazing ASAP. As f2p you don't get anywhere near enough of those crystals. I would make the stargazing system more similar to afk arena.

We have a new celestial/hypogean before a new S-tier 💀

Today I managed to S+ Rowan, picked up a copy of Thoran and Shakir and, more importantly M+ Reinier and Koran. I’m now managing to land in the top 200 in Dream realms regularly. It was a good day. But that also reflects your experience: 3 months for M+ Reinier which isn’t great.

What about releasing a 30 days pass that grants you 2 copies of the new cel/hypo character, like 50 levels for the pass. When you unlock the pass you instantly get one copy of cel/hypo and then in the 50th level you get the second copy. As other rewards in the pass you can get like stargazer orbs and so on. This should represent in my opinion a compromise, so that even low spenders can get some extra copies of the cel/hypo and whales need to spend somehow less for the 2 "budget" copies they get. And obvly for all players there should be an event like a 7 day login or something similar that grants you one free copy of the hero, so that people are "forced" to enter the game and play for some days

you have to take into about that we got many guild coins from the guild challenges earlier, but there are no new guild challenges for the season.

Im with you Volkin, i really like this game and want ot to be good, but even conpetitive guilds on my swrver are falling off, they need to do something to get excitment back. There are plenty of elements in afk arena they can draw from too.

I've also direct messaged the devs to emplore them to let us stargaze with diamonds, especially for the 100% F2P players who are likely still trying to build Reinier... AND especially if they are going to keep this frequency of cele/hypo release.

For the game to have MORE excitement everyday, they also need to refresh the rewards in Endless mode Dream Realm every rotation, since there’s no point in playing in Dream Realm if you already got all of the rewards. The daily dream fragments is getting scarce once you’re in Endless mode.

I totally agree with you. if they give us a free copy of Talene I will surely spend more money to upgrade her. We want to see some appreciation from them to come back to spend money in the game

I had to comment - I am a multi year AFK Arena player, that jumped on getting into Journey. But hell, I want to love this game. have spent more in 90 days than 2 years in Arena, but even spending, resources are crap, there is no content. Literally logging in for a quick Dream Real, some Champion PVP and trying to push. But building characters is like pulling teeth. Yellow Gems, OMG, they are impossible to get hold off. It has taken me forever to get Renier to Mythic, not even + yet. Its just, time spent vs value is NOT like AFK Arena. Logging back into Arena after a slog in Journey, I do appreciate Arena MUCH MUCH more. yes, there is not the same graphics, no story, but hell, I feel a sense of progression. Here, nothing. some random daily, then what? stand around??

I play since May 2023 on ptr, almost fully f2p, I only bought the growth bundles and the noble paths, and I could only get Berial S, Reinier M+ and L+ Scarlita. Only got 1 Reinier double and 1 Scarlita double, and went to pitty every single time. So yes, the stellar crystals are soooo rare and the pitty is so high. Thinking that it would take another 6 months until I could maybe get Scarlita M+ and them maybe build another celhypo is pretty messed up.

We should get an event with every cele/hypo release where everyone gets one copy to try the character. It is obvious that having cele/hypo at m+ will get whales advantage but I agree that whole playerbase would at least participate in hype. I am minor spender, buy the passes and occasional $1 packs. I still try to get Reiner to m+. There is no way I am investing stargazes in new units. So Phaeresto and Talene are just a curiosity for me atm.

If they don’t change anything with Talene’s release I feel like there will be another wave of quitters, may include me. I agree that there isn’t enough excitement for me to log in atm. And 3 months for a M+ doesn’t sound quite right I’m still stuck at legendary + and if I’m lucky I might get him to M+ this month but only if get a free copy of him from the weekly event pull but if I pull Scarlita it’ll take another month to get the guild coins to get the last pull

the whole system that revolves around the stargazer units is just plain insufferable. the last game that provided these stellar crystals was trial of abyss, a game mode created when the game was soooo generous (aka when it was first released). these characters cannot be game changing when they are hard to obtain, most especially build. Talene is gonna be just like its counterparts, useless on its own, forcing you to build them. games are supposed to be fun, competitive, and strategic, but if those factors are only given by spending money? then maybe its not a game worth pouring time on.

AFK Arena, even as a F2P, you get enough resources to be able to summon for every hero. Of Course, not enough to be up on par with whales, but you can still have them, not to mention the whole 20% discount on Temple of Time every time we get a new Awakened, which is basically a garanteed copy of any Awakened. Realistically, if they want this game to not die soon-ish, giving more resources for everyone, so that people can get the heroes that are being released, at least up to M+. ALSO, 3 months for 1 Celhypo M+ is way too much time, because in 3 months, we could build only 1, but we have 6 of them, and 3 of them are right now seeing a lot of use.

If there are no changes to how scamgazer works, stellar crystal availability... I'll just start getting one copy of each cele/hypo and become a character collector. Like getting mythic+ in 3 months (Reinier) and by that time you have 2 new good cele/hypo (Phaestro & Talene maybe) is draining. It's not even like I got it to Supreme+, just Mythic+.

It might be way less income from now on tho. Trial of abyss gave a good amount of scamgazes which is a one time deal

If they release 2-3 per season and seasons are 4 months (6-9 per year), I think F2P should get enough resources to get at least 6 of those to M+. That would be around 4 copies/month so you could do a good chunk of them m+, or if you really wanted to build one up, you could still do that and only miss 1-2 of them.

I swear the one in charge of the roadmap for releasing content is a suit who's only thinking about making money. They cuck players with two back-to-back A-tier units so people would feel the drought then release a hypogean so that people saving up would spend their stargaze orbs bec they're itching to pull or they just liked phaesto. Then they drop (and I assure you) a fkng op broken talene, so people will be forced to spend money on her. All eyes on talene that you can''t get with the letters that you hoarded and can only buy a few with diamonds. You're out of stargaze orbs bec you pulled for either phaesto or reiner so your only choice is to spend money on their bundles or wait another 3 months (or 2 weeks for the next banner) lmaoo.

Let's compare a bit, I was in a decent guild. Not a top guild and I have gone in and out of champion the entire time. I haven't high rolled any Reinier copies but I went on him early on cause I know how good he was and I was hoping on some high rolls (Of course you shouldn't hope for that, but I saw how good he was a Boss/PvE killer and a MUST have to rank high in server ranks) which is important for your resource income. I'm at day 79, haven't gotten Reinier copy from the Free Login and my Reinier is currently sitting at L+ with 1 Copy in bag. If I don't get a Reinier in the free login in 5 days I gotta wait an entire month (28 days for the free Hypogean/Celestial at day 112) before I get my Reinier to M+ cause there is no way in hell I am summoning or purchasing another copy in guild store and then have a copy of him just sitting in my bag forever. Cause I wont go to S+ on him anyways. There is so much RNG to determine your Stellar Crystal/Hypogean/Celestial income. Guild ranks, Arena (Champion), Free Login rolling (Yes this is RNG cause some people get it in their first pull and some in their last). This is if we consider that most people aimed towards a Reinier which a lot of people did. It's just sad to see so many people being limited due to ranking based rewards. At least bring back something like Trial of Abyss where people can get a once time reward for more Crystals, just something that makes people a bit more satisfied.

The Math is off. It's actually way worse. The calculation included the guild quest rewards, which are only one time. So the monthly average is a lot less then the spreadsheet showed

Stargazer could have better rewards, like you are also guaranteed an S level character after so many pulls in addition to the Cel/Hypo, and better Yellow and blue essence as rewards. The rewards for saving for a pull are mostly crap. It would also be nice if they changed the pity to 30 pulls, which would make the characters way more accessible. I really ❤ this game but as everyone has said, resources and fun things to do has pretty much dried up. Maybe there should be an abyss 2 or they could actually give decent rewards for Honor Duel and Arcane Lab. September is a long way away with nothing to do but login in every day, do dream realm and Arena and shut the game.

I personally don't think 3 months is that bad... IF the rate of them releasing wasn't as fast as it is. They need more time between each release and focus more on releasing the base factions' characters. Not A rank characters that are niche in both gameplay and aesthetics, but characters that would excite and hype players more. I would blow all my gems if they released Solise or a new character I actually like as an example. All they are doing by focusing on Celes/Hypo characters is ensuring we have more gems than we know what to do with.

I find stargazing with diamonds a bad idea. It basically makes anything on the 2 other banners even less hype, since you now feel like you have to have enough diamonds to M+ a stargaze hero at any point. But yes, something with stargaze needs to change.

As someone who's got *terrible* pull "luck", had their entire guild quit playing, and not got the ability to spend actual money, this game is *far* less appealing than it used to be. I'm on an older server, too, so I can't make much progress against the amount of spenders.

I have 54 and I think I've gotten all of the stargazer summons I can since launch :) Edit i only got 2/6 of the non discounted stargazer summons from the non discounted orbs.

I just got reiner to M+, don't have phraesto or bariel (or whatever his name is) and only have the singular copies I got from the event for the celestial units. I don't understand why we don't get like, 1-5 free stargazer a week if we're loging in every day. I understand that this game is new and they don't want to "flood" the game or like make whales feel like they spent money on things they shouldn't have, but I dont think even whales would be upset at getting free orbs at this point. It takes way too god damn long to hit m+ on cel/hypo units, which is honestly when they come "online" and it's usually after they hit +10 on the weapon anyway! Give us free orbs, free orange stone, or both. This shit is so grindy for no real reason

Some players don't want power creep but now no one is excited for the heroes that have been coming out. So far every hero that is exciting is a Hypo/Celes and they are so hard to get unless you whale. I have all these rate up tickets saved with no one I want to spend them on. There's no way Lilith is earning that much money right now. I doubt even whales have anything to spend their money on aside from the few new heroes and maybe some of the upgrade bundles.

What's the reason to not get past mythic plus?

Im 80 days in and still 2 away from Riener M+. This system as a whole is fked. RNG is the absolute worst ive ever experienced. I'm personally close to uninstalling. One of the few reasons i haven't yet is because i spend roughly an hour a day, more on Monday, total play time so it requires very little work to get dailies done. The time invested each day matches the rewards given, which is very little. I'll give it more time to see if the devs improve things. I doubt they will.

So im VIP11, not mega whale but im certainly a spender. Literally my only Hypogean/Celetial that is not at base is Renier at M+(dont have Phaestro). Ive saved Stargaze pulls enough for 60 pulls and it just not enough. At worst, its a single Talene. Hoping to get to 80 when she comes around but spending here will probably only get me 1 extra copy of her. The cost of the packs for essentially a character that doesnt have half of their kit is fucking ridiculous and im not spendinv more for her. This game has not been rewarding as a spender

Actually it will fluctuate more because most of your stellar crystals where from tower of abys if there is no tower of abys for the next 3mons it will go to 4 mons to get 8 copies imagine.. and wha more to very light spenders and F2p who are not in champions and in a good guild.. now it will go to 6 mons to get to a myth + hyp or cel char.. that would be so sad..

I spend, but i am not a wale. And it costs $150 in AUD, to get the perminent bundle that has the 10 stargazers. I am not spending $150 even if it was guarendeed i'd get 1 copy, but its not even, 10 pulls gets you nothing. For context Dragons Dogma 2, full price $108 AUD

I am very colse to quitting the game now, my friends who all started playing with me in same day 1 server have already quit a week ago, now I will do the same, just can't continue like this anymore, so many things are wrong in this game, the whole rewarding structure is just very unacceptable. Alnog with other many issues which I dont want to write an essay about it here as most of players already knew & experienced those issues in game themselves. Anyway, goodluck eveyone with this game. I genuinely thought this could be a different kinds of gacha game than any other out there but its not the case at all, infact the worst is yet to come .....its lilith after all.

You don't actually NEED to have an advantage just because you spent money on the game... Other games will give spenders the option of customization, and then you have a more balanced game. I think Zeeebo had a more realistic view on this issue, at least communication-wise. But even the math here, you counted your chances from having access to champion store, which is unlikely for a more competitive server if the person is already saving everything for stargaze. Champion store needs to be available for everyone, have less expensive stargaze and more per week. Other content also needs to drop more stuff, specially the content thats been forgotten - trial of the abyss could have seasonal floors, guild battle needs better rewards and everything needs to give some more pull chances and the yellow essences. I spend a bit on the game and have been constantly top 10 in arena and top 3 guilds, my bf spends less and he is just SO far behind that its painful, just from not having access to champion store and some other ranking reward.

Tbh harsher tone would help more. This issues exists for like monthw now. And you all CC made videos about it and didnt helped one bit. Game is in rough position. The more i play and invest time and etc i dont feel rewarded for all that.

Never buy anything in the Permanent Bundle section of the Trolley... ever. Buying the Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Limited Bundles, and waiting for them to fill back up is WAY more bang for your buck. Doing it this way (in the end) you'll outperform just about everyone who THINKS they can just buy the Permanent Bundles and be fine... when in reality they'll run out of $$$ WAY before you do. And, let's be real, the people who CAN just buy the Permanent Bundles endlessly and it not affect them at all... you're not gonna keep up with them anyways.

I still like the game after two months of playing but I've gotta say that the whole rewards system is absolutely terrible! Essence income is atrocious! This game is so being so ridiculously whale oriented that last night the only whale in my guild got 5 Stargazing tickets for free in the mail, no one else in the guild got them, both mid spenders and f2p. At this pace all f2p will leave out of frustation and then whales will leave out of boredom.

Problem is, this game as a whole isn't worth more than $20. Soooo... $1600 for a M+ Cel/Hypo...!?!?!? 🤨
