Silence has always been what I’ve naturally gravitated to. I am amazed at how many people find that I am odd, “shy”, snobby, a B, etc., just by being silent. You learn about yourself and others simply by being silent.

I am so quiet at work and stay out of the gossip group that people just say anything around me, the forget I’m there lol it’s amazing what I hear. I also notice people talk me about their issues and secrets because they know they can trust me. That’s when I gently tell them of Gods love. Silently and hopefully planting seeds .

This is an answer to prayer! I grew up being this way (silent) , but ended up listening to others who told me that I need to overcome being so quiet, and over the years, I’ve tried doing that, only to become frustrated when finding out 1) my words became gossip for others, 2) my words were not received the right way 3) I get a rebuttal that causes a serious strain on the relationship. I’m now back to my old self; being silent, but with wisdom ( speaking when the LORD wants me to, and staying silent the rest of the time)!

I like to be quiet, an observer and i listen before i speak. Many people ask me why don't i say something. I tell them that i will say something when it is needed. I have shocked people of my quietness. I don't get into drama, gossip etc. I do say hi and move on. I observe the situation and the atmosphere around me. The less i say the better i am. I ask God for wisdom and what do you want me to say etc. That's how i keep myself out of trouble etc. I don't get involved in others business i have enough of my own to handle and take care of. So I stay clear as possible.

@@riseandshine11 You are so welcomed. When you stay in your own lane you do so much better. Don't get involved with other people's problems/ baggage. You have enough of your on issues to handle. You can help when needed but watch who you hang around and what is being said. And act accordingly. Focus on what you need to focus on to become a better version of yourself. Many times you may want to say something, remember silence is golden. If the situation has nothing to do with you leave it alone.

Thank you so much to God be the Glory. I’ve for years have struggled with oversharing to my family about issues concerning myself and my immediate family. Im now 25 and alot of my family negatively talks about me but I’m starting to understand partially brought it on myself and then as a Child of God I want to serve him in spirit and in truth and I have to let go of the hurt and talk to God or a professional. And I have a true desire of wanting to change so I often hear from the people I used to confide in I keep secrets but this lately has protected me from monitoring spirits within my family and although it’s hard me being a honest person I don’t talk as much about things that hurt me to others because I realize I’m trauma dumping on people that are also hurting from there own things. Those who know the worth of prayer please keep me in your prayers.

This is very much needed. Lots of women run their mouth way too much. They think it makes them look interesting and of value by doing so. Nothing is further than the truth. Seek Wisdom ladies. I’m working on this myself… I’m not exempt. Thank God I was raised to be private and not talk to talk my family business to everyone. There are people that just can’t hold water. If they talk about others to you … watch out. Also, if they barely know you and tell you all their business…… run fast in the other direction!! God bless us all with the wisdom and insight we all need to know when to control the tongue! When we speak let’s speak positivity! Ive had that very word "silence is a super power". Im a talker😣. I get excited about things & like to share, but many ppl dont want to share in your excitement. I had someone twist & bend my story i was sharing with her so horribly. I learned a HUGE lesson in that. The spirit was telling me to shut up the whole time.

It's hard. I used to talk out of nervousness and being uncomfortable. It's a new skill this silence that I am learning! Thankfully God is faithful and patient.

As I've gotten older and wiser, I allow The Holy Spirit to speak for, to and through me to be silent. I totally agree with being silent, no matter how much I want to speak, it ALL works out for my good❤! (KJV 2 Timothy 2:16-18)

I made the mistake of speaking the truth to my administration about a child’s concerns. They turned my words against me and made me look like a liar, because the cause of the problem was the administrator’s sister. I let God take care of this situation and I don’t speak on anyone behalf again.

The Most High have been dealing with me about staying silent in the last few years. Always reminding me when I go out in the world to just keep my mouth quiet. I find when I go to work its a struggle so I started wearing a rubber band on my wrist as a reminder to keep quiet.
