The showcase mode for WWE 2K24 is the 2K Showcase of the Immortals, going through the last 40 years of WrestleMania. However, there are some aspects about the mode that leave a lot to be desired.

Rock and Hogan and HHH vs taker are crazy to not include. The Undertaker and HHH one was a match the was 2 of the last old gunslingers left dukeing it out. Was amazing match woulda been amazing to play in showcase.

I absolutely had no problem of the showcase mode back then having 60 or 45 matches with WWE 13 and 14 and 15 and 16

@@jonathonsanok4389exactly WWE 13 gived us matches from summerslam 1997 - around 2001 with some random smackdown, heat matches +bonus PPV matches from early in the story in the off script section the main mode ended at wrestlemania 15 in 1999. 2k14 1 or 3 matches from each wrestlemania 1-29

I got 2K23 at 32 pounds w everything, Ultimate Edition. Just wait a year. 66% saved. Not to mention, if you go for online achievements like I do, they will have diamond cards in online mode by then.

Not only that, but the game has horrible input lag and all sorts of grapple bugs. The AI is OP with broken submissions and all sorts of other annoying things. The A.Is irreversible moves,the game cutting cooling down your reversals at certain parts to give the AI or other opponent an advantage for bs "Momentum Shifts" by handicapping you in parts of the match.

I am with you on this. There were many matches that deserve to be on here that were left off. I'm especially disappointed by the lack of early Wrestlemania matches that could be on here but are not.

Bianca Belair vs Asuka was a waist of a match along with Rick Rude vs Ultimate Warrior. I had no problem with them if they had more matches. Those two matches are far from iconic

they EASILY could have featured WAY more matches even with the limitations of major names like jericho, bryan, edge, big show etc working for AEW. i made a short list of notable matches they didn't but easily could have included in the game 1. the ultimate warrior vs randy savage - wrestlemania vii 2. the undertaker vs jake roberts - wrestlemania viii (it's a crime that the undertaker, one of the biggest names in wrestlemania history who is so synonymous with the event only gets 2 matches. feel this one should have been included because it's the first 'taker match at wrestlemania they could do, as both him and roberts are in 2k24 while jimmy snuka isn't) 3. shawn michaels vs bret hart - wrestlemania xii (agree with you on this one) 4. the undertaker vs kane - wrestlemania xiv 5. steve austin vs shawn michaels - wrestlemania xiv (again, agree with you on this one) 6. steve austin vs the rock - wrestlemania xv (feel like all 3 matches are too important to not be featured together) 7. the undertaker vs triple h - wrestlemania x-seven (again, a trilogy too important not to be featured, except unlike the austin vs rock trilogy, not a single match featured!) 8. the rock vs hollywood hogan - wrestlemania x8 (just... how..?) 9. steve austin vs the rock - wrestlemania xix 10. brock lesnar vs kurt angle - wrestlemania xix (brock is in the game but isn't being promoted so don't see why they couldn't feature this one) 11. the undertaker vs randy orton - wrestlemania 21 12. john cena vs jbl - wrestlemania 21 (john cena's first wwe championship win in his career, as well as first hints of super cena, this is surely enough to get this match featured?) 13. rey mysterio vs kurt angle vs randy orton - wrestlemania 22 (agree with you on this one) 14. the undertaker vs batista - wrestlemania 23 (agree with you on this one) 15. john cena vs shawn michaels - wrestlemania 23 (agree with you on this one) 16. the undertaker vs shawn michaels - wrestlemania 26 (both matches are fire and only having one of them is a crime) 17. the undertaker vs triple h - wrestlemania 27 (how is this not in the game?) 18. the undertaker vs triple h - wrestlemania 28 (probably the biggest crime on this list) 19. john cena vs the rock - wrestlemania 29 (since the first one was in 2k23) 20. aj styles vs the undertaker - wrestlemania 36 ('taker's last wrestlemania match, surely deserving enough to be featured?) 21. cody rhodes vs seth rollins - wrestlemania 38 (cody's first wwe appearance in 6 years, also the cover star of the game and this match his not in?) 22. drew mcintyre vs gunther vs sheamus - wrestlemania 39 (a five-star match that would have been SO MUCH fun if it actually made it into the game. if they already have so many wrestlemania 39 matches, don't see why this one couldn't make it) not saying they should add all of these matches, but a couple of these i feel like were a MUST for a mode called "showcase of the immortals".

@@Tere999 it’s 40 yrs of wrestlemaina edition and the main feature for paying more is skip the showcase. When everyone saw 40 yrs we expected 40 yrs not 18 yrs and 3 match from the last wrestlemaina. You can’t say 40 yrs edition and not give us it, it’s a slap in face to a community who has been waiting for this showcase for 10 yrs and for that reason I’m not buying on launch seem like another underwhelming showcase

I felt bad about feeling disappointed for this initially, but you're right. In my opinion if you're gonna go for 40 years of WrestleMania, you should either go all in with it, or not do it at all. I dunno if 2k14 being on a more primitive system meant that it was easier to develop that mode faster, but I think this showcase is gonna go down as a disappointment, which it is for no good reason.

I never could get through the 2K23 showcase. It was so bad. Literally ruined the game for me. And I see promising things for 2K24 but this generic way of doing showcase is just not it. I hoped it wouldn’t be the same generic music with no commentary or in game cutscenes. But it seems that’s how it is now. 2K15 deserved better
