The Process Of Making Friends With a Giant Butterfly (Long-tail Swallowtail)
In the previous video, I raised swallowtail butterflies from eggs to adults, but one of the caterpillars was particularly strange.
The caterpillar is much larger in size and has a slightly different pattern.
It was something strange, but I constantly observed and cared for him.
But one day, a caterpillar that became a pupa came out of the shell.
The identity of the guy is the Long-tail Swallowtail!
A large black butterfly that was difficult to get close to as a child was born!

저희집 정원에 자주보이는 긴꼬리제비나비~~알에서 나비까지 직접 보니 신기하네요. 가끔 장미 잎사귀 갉아먹는 애벌레가 커서 누가 될지 이제 죽이지 말아야겠어요 약도 치지말고~~

Species: Papilio macilentus Common name: Long tailed spangle swallowtail This butterfly is closely related to mormon and helen butterflies. P.S. I tried to use iNaturalist to find some Swallowtail Butterfly species in South Korea, and this is my closest guess. correct me if i'm wrong! 🦋 edit: initially i guessed that it was a Common Mormon butterfly (Papilio polytes) but i ended up really close lmao. I used to catch that when I was little, that butterfly is pretty common where I live (Indonesia)
