I for one am glad for the return of the no-voiceover format. I also really like this chance to see craftsmen whose work is so important to keeping gardening alive.

This video reminded me a lot of my education. Forging was part of it. We also had belts for driving the machines like the one you can see on the forging hammer. I could still fit these belt connectors correctly with which the belt ends were connected. We had exactly the same ones almost 60 years ago. Some things don't seem to change.

This is such a beautiful video! Very cinematic, like a movie! Well done! I love the content too, especially since I just saw Saida San using and explaining all of his tools last week in San Diego! I have a feeling I might be buying some of these tools this year! Thanks again for introducing me to Saida San; I think I will be forever grateful!😊

It's great to see that there's someone like Mr. Kando still willing to do this kind of job. But I also feel sad at the same time, is he going to be the last one?

I would like to buy some of these tools. How can I, without coming to Japan and looking for this little shop? 😅

There's a link to the shop in the description. The website states they do international orders. I must admit a trip to Japan for a shopping spree is attractive though.

Its probably not all of them but each time I watch a Japanese tool shop and it says this is the Nth generation in the line of successive owners - the man or woman is actually still forging the steel or whatever - generally in the West the company has passed through so many hands that its just a CEO in a suit at that point with a degree for Wharton and manicured hands!
