My dad was in the Navy during vietnam. He used to tell me stories of the Korean marines. He said out of all of the Special Forces he had ever seen in his life the Korean Marines were by far the toughest. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what they carry into battle

Причем тут спецназ? Если только спецназ из 15-го века😅😅😅. Сейчас используют другие ножи... И не один понимающий кузнец не станет делать рубящий нож из крученого дамасска - режущая кромка будет выкрашиваться, попробуй доски им по руби. Кароче одни понты🤦

I don’t know what’s worse…saying special forces units carry these, or the people that believe it. Even if it were true, there’s not a military on earth that would make the monetary or time investment waiting on layered steel. They’d want something made of stamped steel that is quick to manufacture and inexpensive.

This "knife" will not live longtime, the attaching point from the tang to the blade, is a sharp angle, it should be 2 radius, that's the 100% breaking point

Damascus type steel, usually a mix between a high carbon like 1095 and a stainless. That combinations makes the pattern so visible. Its cool but by no means better in terms of edge retention, durability, toughess and hardness than m390, elmax, 3v or magnacut. If anything its a lesser version than the high carbon that composes it.

Again:all steels are alloys. Damascus pattern welded steel often contains layers of a nickel based alloyed steel for contrast.for example 15n20
