Hi, I got a carlinkit decoder 2,0 for a Audi A4 b8 and i will mount a revercing camera to it. I gott the RCA kabel and to wire says 12v out to revercing camera and a second ho says Reverce detected. How could i Connect the camera to de carplay decoder

How do you wire your reverse camera ? I bought a similar one and I followed the istructions but nothing happens when I engage reverse not even a black screen. Parking sensors are engaging as normal. The cables are a little diffrent from the ones in the picture but still. I believe that I haven't done some setings on the unit maybe?

I just installed android 11 HU in my A4 b8 and camera just like that one (ahd). But when i put car in reverse android doesent go to reverse camera, even though mmi goes to parking graphic interface showing parking sensors.

What's the specs on the camera? You should go into more depth on these install videos if the cameras dont come with detailed instructions. a pillar removal, hiding the wire run from the tailgate to the headliner, running the wire from the a pillar to the head unit and which wire you connected it to. I assume it was the camera +12v wire. Break it into a multipart video if you have to. Itll make it easier for people so they dont have to swap between KZfaq videos to do various parts of the installation.

I bought a car with this head unit and went to install the backup camera this way. After getting the glovebox off, I discovered they don't have the right wire harness, and that t harness you show in your other video that taps into that red plug isn't plugged in. The harness for the android unit it much larger than the red plug, has a couple more big connectors on it so my car isn't talking to my CAN I don't think. Is there a way to still trigger the reverse camera mode when going into reverse? I tried putting power on the camera det pink wire but it didn't change anything. Was hoping there was a purely aftermarket hookup to power the camera, and provide voltage on a wire to trigger the camera screen like you can on most normal car screen headunits.

I may have missed it but most installations show a connection to the reversing light so that the camera becomes live when reverse gear is engaged. In this installation, how will the camera operate just by engaging reverse gear? Have I missed it? Thanks.

A lot of work just for a rear camera, it's a shame Audi are such basic cars, for the money they should all come with rear cameras, fold mirrors, heated seats.
