I live 10 min from germany border, we go out to eat in germany sometimes and I agree! Often it’s really simple and not so healthy food, you really have to search for some good places

According food: treat yourself. Go to a nice restaurant 20-30km away. I can't imagine there's not a good one around. Also, there's a lot of asian, turkish, polish and russian food shops around (at least here in the north in the larger cities). Fully agree to the "friends"-topic. Make the first move, invite people to your home for a barbecue. Make an effort. (not easy as a young mother). Digitalisation: Yes. But from what you say this seems to be a southern (or local) problem. It's a bit better where i live. Weather: there's a reason why Mallorca is called the 17th Bundesland and the germans are known to be traveling world champions. Greetings from the north, where shops close at 10pm or even at midnight. But, yes, as an introvert, Germany can be difficult.

Oh, I didn't realize that closing at 6 pm and the digitalization were a Southern thing! Good to know :D maybe its just because I live in a small town. Yes, about food, there are definitely good places, even in my town there are a couple. but yes, you kind of have to know them, and specifically go there, plus they are a bit more pricy. Not like in Spain where you can enter any random cheap bar and get pretty good food, tapas etc... Thank you for your comment!

@@realandfree Food again: sometimes a Döner shop also has some really good turkish meals. Check if they offer a menue card, especially when the have seating.
