I'm guessing each user in the PS can make a personal profile, but that would mean you need to close the game and switch user each time you want to pass on the headset to a different user

@@magnusfrost537 it has to do with the shape of your head and eye distance, to get the best eye settings out of the PSVR2 each user will probably have to make their own personal profile, I'm just hoping you can select different PSVR2 user profiles on the same PS Account, I don't want my friends to have to start all over with GT7

I hear a lot of peeps saying PSVR2 will be their first VR experience. (myself included) .. I passed on Quest due to preferring deeper console/PC games and Quest seeming to be mostly casual/mobile style gaming. PS VR will be depth of VR gaming I was hoping for, without having to spend thousands on a new PC rig. I just hope the devs jump on board in force!

@@AdamsBrew78 Dude your mind is going to be blown. You might experience some motion sickness at first but don't let that deter you. Your brain will adjust after a week or two. The key is once you feel the motion sickness coming on just take off the headset immediately and don't try to push through it. Then put it back on later when you're feeling fine again

Quite a lot of the problems he encountered can be easily fixed with FW (we all know some will come not long after the gate)

I heard from multiple people that you can use the headset perfectly fine even if you have glasses on.

PSVR2 will be my first VR experience, however because I have nearsightedness, do I still need to wear glasses? Will it affect the eye tracking?

I’m an old fogey too (mid 40s) and have been on the fence about getting into VR for many years, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. Just curious, did it make you dizzy or sick when you first got into it? I’m mostly a Xbox Series X gamer these days but have been very tempted to get a PS5 just for Gran Turismo 7 - and considering it’ll have VR support at launch, my interest has been piqued into overdrive! Throw in a Logitech G Pro direct drive wheel and this could end up being one helluva sim racing setup, without the setup, cost and fuss required of PC rigs.

I tried the quest 2 and it was so small, not made for adults who wear glasses. Also the strap sux and basically no battery life. Instead of buying all the add ons ill spend a bit more for the psvr2

@@chaikagaz did they put the included spacer in it for glasses before you tried it? There’s also a lot of custom, third party solutions for that.

I love how many excuses people are coming up with for the tracking. 😂 I think its pretty clear that it unfortunately has sub par tracking. I’ve seen too many reviewers mentioning these issues even in a non CES environment. I seriously wanted it to be better in every way possible) *sigh 😞

@@delgat000 It's a theory people have tried testing out and the handlers at the CES show even said it's a possibility. I think there is a decent chance the PSVR2 tracking IS going to disappoint though. I think many forget how reliant it is on quality software and given PSVR1s issues I am still holding my judgement on whether PSVR2 will hold its own against stuff like the Quest 2s pretty great inside out tracking. I don't think it's making excuses to report on things people have actively tested and seem relevant to this video given the dudes literally wearing a smart watch IN THE VIDEO and had the exact complaint that's being reported to be caused by them (left hand/hand with the watch having tracking issues) Also for real if that is the case I fully believe that should be a deal-breaker for a lot of people. Tracking going wacky just because you're wearing a watch is a ridiculously stupid problem to have. I hope it either gets fixed or gets reported on/criticised properly for its actual issues.

I'm doing this as well, just got my rig built, using the T300. Used the T150 with the old PSVR an it was the best racing game experience I've ever had!

@@RheaTempleton Sounds like a great setup! I’ve been trying to decide on a wheel to go with myself. Was looking for one with more detailed force than g29, but more affordable than direct drive wheels.. T300 seems like a perfect middle ground!

I tried getting into sim racing with psvr1 but I couldn't get past the motion sickness. Doesn't happen with any other game type, just racint

To me this comment doesn’t make any sense because why would Sony care about other companies “shadow banning” their own users?

@@angrynooblets34Sony’s got a pretty good history of patenting weird dystopian concepts for the sake of those concepts not becoming a reality. they wouldn’t care about other companies shadow banning users, but tech that allows automatic detection and logging of gestures is something that fits right in with Sony’s already existing patents no matter what the use case is

I wouldn’t be surprised if shadow banning wasn’t already a feature across many gaming eco systems? It’s reportedly used as an anti cheat method in COD. I do recall back in the 360 days being able to select the type of gamer that you are from “innocent little kid to angry Bastard old gamer”, not sure how affective that was at separating groups. With it being used on instagram and KZfaq I don’t really see a future where it isn’t hidden inside most online games. That said I doubt the incentive will be as strong as with major social media platforms who are under pressure to mute certain speech wether it be connected to the sex trade or hot button topics like vaccines etc. (depending on the structure of the game).

Yeah, it is effectively 'detachable' in that sense (it would be stupid not too) but it's certainly possible to use that as a port with a wifi 6 receiver/transmitter in the future to negate the wires completely (i guess you would need a power bank as well mind) anyway, yeah if it breaks/corrodes, you can change it.

PlayStation has been trying to court PC by releasing exclusives onto it 2-3 years after they hit the console, so I can see them putting out a PC patch for PSVR2.

@Necroverse19 they won't. psvr2 is sold with a loss for sony, they sell software (games) to get that money back. if people could use PSVR2 on PC then sony would bleed money with nothing in return. it's sad because a bigger player base for a vr platform is always the best thing.

@@Tekeysix i mean they could always port their PSVR exclusives to pc with the selling point of an enhanced experience with PSVR2, and still keep some titles on the base PS5

A smartwatch might cause tracking issues. You don’t need one anyway in vr 😊

There are mods just only on games that support it. E.g. Pavlov has mods and custom maps built into the game, aswell as PC crossplay.
