The Punchbowl / The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Oahu is so beautiful!

While in Oahu we had to go see The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. It is a national cemetery located at Punchbowl Crater in Honolulu, Hawaii. It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so. It is administered by the National Cemetery Administration of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Millions of visitors visit the cemetery each year, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hawaii.
I am so glad we went and walked around. It is a very peaceful and yet very sobering memorial. So very many are buried here. While we were getting ready to leave I looked up and noticed the rainbow above the memorial. It was very moving.

I had the privilege of visiting this memorial. I came from Australia on holiday. I drove down that beautiful dtiveway and saw American Flags raised next to Australian Flags I cried. God Bless our allied forces. 🇺🇲💯🇦🇺

Thank you for your encouraging words. I was also deeply moved at the Memorial. I had not planned on doing this video, but I was deeply moved and my brother in law asked me to do a video for his church. I just pulled out my camera and started to video.

I remember when white crosses marked the graves of the fallen fighting men. It was quite a sight. Punchbowl cemetary looks like a very peaceful place

It was a very moving experience which I personally had not anticipated before visiting. But it was a good experience which brought a sense of gratitude for those who served and sacraficed for our country.

I wanted to do Pearl Harbor but it is so crowded that it was almost impossible to get good shots. I have some video of Pearl , but I don't think that it would do it justice.
