There's a Punisher short called Dirty Laundry that features Thomas Jane as The Punisher once again.

I like more Jane than Bernthal one, Punisher of Jon Berthal is a complete deranged who even before sufiring the lost of his family, already was an assasin with no scruples or goodness, actually he was bad, killing people in Middle East (innocent or not) before becoming The Punisher. Watching this movie, the Tom Jane´s one is better cause he doesn´t start killing until the villains murder all his family, and also is more quiet without necessity of scream when he take lifes.

+Dion Woolston exactly, Jane's "Punisher" was in THE FBI, whereas the source material incarnation of the character (and Netfix'/Marvel's version of the character were in the marine corps,, the infamous popsicle scene is part of a spin-off comic, therefore is not canon in the slightest despite existing, as for which is truly the definitive version of the character, it's official, Bernthal got the Garth Ennis Punisher comics, (not War Zone (the spin-off series that has the popsicle torture in it, not War Journal, not Punisher Meets Archie, in this case i'm talking about the comics that helped flesh out the character even more so than the three movies ever tried to do but ended up failing miserably) he bought and based his Punisher off of the comics that first were first distributed in '04, the darker, down-right apologetically violently cold, no holds barred Punisher, Jane's Castle had little to no character development, all he did was mope after his family was killed, hardly ever killed anybody until the last 20 or 30 minutes, than there's the guy with the shotgun, keeps aiming for the vest when Jane's castle's face is literally 4 inches up above the shotgun barrel, what I'm really saying is, you people are delusional if you think this movie was the definitive Punisher movie.

Thought this movie was fucking terrible. Tom was alright taking up the role and an actor can only go so far as what the script outlines but I thought the movie was fucking awful and really missed the nature of the comics.

You mean “Dirty Laundry.” Anyhow, mediocre doesn’t equate to bad. I honestly like the movie. While having Frank’s son create the skull shirt was a bit random, it did carry more weight than just a random skull insignia spray painted on a vest like in the show. Although, ultimately, I agree that the show was much better.

@@tetsukara Yep. Thanks. Corrected that. I like Thomas Jane. He is definitely not out of place as Frank Castle. But to me the movie was not good enough. Not by a longshot. He wasn't given much to work with here. I know he tried over the years to get more movies with this character off of the ground but it was a no go. Instead we got "The Punisher: War Zone" which is eh...kind of just there. Let's not forget the 1989 version with Dolph Lundgren, which is not necessarily a bad action movies for the late 80s early 90s period...but he doesn't really look like the character, though physically he was none too shabby. But out of all these, for me Jon Bernthal best embodies the character and I much prefer the series to any of the movies.
