@@NL_333 I mean, he became the Punisher because mobsters attacked him and his wife and two children just because they happened to witness there illegal activity. Only Frank survived. I'm not saying that justifies him becoming basically a Batman who kills criminals, but that IS why Matt is saying he needs "help".

Sounds like a fusion between the original Punisher movie and the Netflix Punisher story in Daredevil.

They both take inspiration from this. This was the miniseries that brought the Punisher back to his origins of vigilante killer after they tried to make him a literal avenging angel or somesuch and later on its writer, Garth Ennis (Preacher, yes the one they made the TV series from), would basically become *THE* Punisher writer for years to come both in his Marvel Knights series (which follows from this miniseries) and the adult Marvel Max series (which is in its own continuity and is much more realistic and violent).

Apparently after death he was brought back as a cyborg that developed breasts. He also wore woman's clothes and was in a comic named," the giant sized Mam thing. Comics are really weird.

I think this story should be punisher’s reintroduction to the MCU, with a special focus on the punisher wannabes. Not only is the “welcome back frank” a fun play on him coming back, but it could be how frank was blipped away and he comes back to fight the wannabes. It makes him realize his responsibility as a vigilante and would also be a cool way to address the psycho punisher fans who commit crimes thinking they’re him. It could be really introspective

Nothing has ever made me realize how Marvel's current crew views their old comics and their entire fanbase as a whole more than this video. I now understand that they think their entire audience consists of children, but the sad part is they couldn't even manage to appeal to them.

To be fair the tone of the miniseries (and subsequent Marvel Knights regular) is rather darkly humorous with only some elements of the drama and realism that would be explored by the Marvel Max series (which still had plenty of dark hmour, only even darker).

2:20 - Okay, I'm horribly confused. You seem to be advertising some sort of TPB that was issued in 2011? Per Amazon the title is: Punisher: Welcome Back, Frank (Punisher (Unnumbered)) by Garth Ennis (2011-04-13) ? In fact, it appears to now be out of print. Pretty unlikely you'll find a copy "wherever comics are sold." Is it a freebie on Comixology or Marvel Unlimited? You'd think you'd be using this video to advertise the US$ 90.00 hardcover Punisher omnibus that is going to be issued next month, but that's me. Freely admit the Punisher story line is not one I follow all that closely, but the point of this video kind of escapes me.
