It seems a fair amount of players are also on the cleaning sheet.I sure hope it is an all clean house with the so called senior players as well. United has always been about players coming through the Youth Academy. These are the young players who developed a Love for the the United shirt. I think most of the current squad is there for a paycheck alone.

We have suffered on every department for too long. The place needs a strip out from top to bottom and only keep that which helps us improve. Professionalism at every department is now required so that the fans can settle and know we have people in charge that want to win.

Fletcher said on BT sport that he oversees academy to first team ensuring all youth players are comfortable and any questions they can ask him as he was previous academy. He said he is pretty much also part of coaching staff

They have to restructure our entire scouting system. Get the best scouts for both the domestic and international markets. Set out clear policies and build the best scouting system in worldwide football.

Maybe the scouts have been good but the likes of Hargreaves Judge Woodward and Murtough have cartwashed any suggestions the scouts have put forward! Remember Rangnick giving the names of Players the scouts gave great reports of. Jullien Alverez Caicedo Ferguson ect 😢

Only thing is at the end of the day, the ballbag Joel Glazer still had final say. No wonder we're such a mess. He wouldn't let Martial go either because he is his favourite player. This is not to absolve Murtough of blame. He was out of his depth in the role

@wilseph1 100%. They also just kept renewing contracts of players as they viewed them as "assets" & it had nothing to do with their ability. Players who should have been shown the door years ago based on performances. Themselves & the clown Woodward set us back a decade. It's completely our that City are so strong. They may have cooked the books, but when you see what they have gotten for their outlay & compare it to us, it makes me sick. Any competent people in charge could have kept us competitive with the money spent

Your spot on Tony, Paul Scholes was one of , if not, the best midfielder in the world when he played, not me just saying it, Iniesta and Xavi of Barcelona,s brilliant midfield, named Paul as the best midfielder ever and that,s some accolade off those two great players.Get him in if they want the best in class. Darren Fletcher is probably a really nice bloke, but he could not lace Scholes boots- he is the DNA required at this club who should be involved in some capacity.

So because somebody was a world class player that makes them a sound football executive or technical director? I think we have more than enough evidence to actually know the opposite (ie. Keane, Neville, Bruce, etc) This is so laughable, this is just repeating the same mistakes under the Glazers in different ways. Scholes has hardly done anything within football the past 10 years, fans are shouting for change and at the same time these are the recommendations they make?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Scholes didn't even last 10 games before getting the boot at bloody Oldham in league whatever but sure let's bring him into the fold at Manchester United.

The ridiculously high transfer fees paid for players the manager requires & equally, the low fees of outgoing players, is in no way Erik's responsibility or fault. He is probably just as perplexed as the Supporters! United are The Biggest Club but hopefully the top men 'being gathered' will bring some reason in future negotiations. Only 1m for Elanga! 😮

Agree with getting Murtough out and anyone else responsible. The only caveat is that some of these people probably worked under constraints that made their job difficult. Those constraints, the glazers, are still majority owners and that cannot be forgotten. Ineos is making moves, and on paper they appear good, but the proof is on the pitch and it remains to be seen if they can complete the “open heart surgery” required. Good stuff again lads!

@compostsmurf5519 I'm not having a go at Bruno, and if the club wants to build around this counter style of play then yes keep. I just look at the top 3 clubs in England now. Foden and Odegard don't kick a 30/40 yard ball over the top as soon as they get it. Liverpool don't really play with a 10 but Macalister keeps the ball! I just think this style of play is suited to a decade ago kick and rush.

Another Great show guys. Great News on Murtough going Friday but like Tony says we need to get Ashworth Wilcox and julien Ward in ASAP. Fletcher must go too IMO we can't carry people any longer! Sir Jim wants us back in 3 seasons well we need to still ship out the underperforming lazy weak mentality players! Best in class lads 👍

Love united, love the players that have played for us. Scholes was mega, but why do we have to find spots for ex players with the so called united dna? Sir alex didn't have the united dna did he? We need a complete rebuild. Personally, I don't want any ex united player involved with the rebuild, coach or otherwise.

I think Murtoughs news ,,it’s the best news I’ve heard since there’s a new takeover.. I understand he did good things with Academy, and he’s a lovely fella. But when it comes to negotiating transactions for a mammoth of a club. He was inadequate, unprepared, lacked creativity, did not understand how to value players off their attributes, and horribly taken advantage of. So him not being there to me just made the club that much better.

Not 2014 anymore, don't think you want any of the executives at Bayern and Barca after the last few years ESPECIALLY Barcelona 😂 Not to mention the reality is much more different. Liverpool poached their head guy from Bournemouth, Newcastle poached Ashworth from Brighton, Arsenal took on Edu from Brazil and Spurs took in Lange from Aston Villa. If they have a good track record, good ideas and potential I personally don't care where they come from. I think doing so would be a simplistic take nor is it always feasible to poach from the top clubs. Else loads of clubs would be in for Woodward, Murtough and Arnold now.

Tbh lads Utd may not get back to the level of dominance they once had. There are too many teams now with money and great managers that perhaps wasn't before. Utd never really had to fight against teams that were capable of winning trebles and possibly 2 trebles in a row. Liverpool arsenal spurs and others have improved greatly and no sign of going away any time soon. Utd will probably be competing again for the top trophies but there now are several teams with the same idea.
