What was the purpose of creation? Why are we here? Mufti Menk answers this all important question during his inspirational lecture series "Purpose of Creation" held at Fanar - Qatar Islamic Cultural Center on 11th - 12th May 2013.
_____________
ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
Mufti Ismail Menk of Zimbabwe commenced hifz at the tender age of nine years and completed at the age of twelve. He studied Arabic, Urdu and the Hanafi Mazhab from a young age with his father Maulana Musa Menk who graduated in Mazahirul Uloom Shahjahanpur under Hazrat Shaikh Maulana Zakaria (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) in the late 1950's.
Having studied the Hanafi Mazhab he then went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah where he completed a degree in Shariah on the four Mazhabs. Thereafter he joined the Iftah (Mufti) department of Darul Uloom Kantaria in Gujarat, India where he graduated under Mufti Ismail Barkodrah at the end of 1999.
Ever since he has been actively engaged in teaching, lecturing country wide, running of Islamic educational institutes for the under privileged as well as the orphans, construction of Masajid and Madaris, relief work and coordinated dawaah country wide.

Mashuk Ali He’s a true Scholar of our TIME. I’m one blessed evangelical christian that has been practicing „Islam“ without my knowledge. I only realized the truth at a time I was ready to understand myself. I asked questions, I cried and prayed. Most of all, I appreciated the pains. I learnt from the pains and made major gains. The rest is Alhamdulillah and once again ALHAMDULILLAH. May our Creator continue to bless our brothers and sisters. May our Creator have mercy on those who seek mercy and may our Creator accept our requests and may our Creator oversee our generations. Please, forgive me for any errors you might see. I’d be happy to learn from another perspective.

In the limited period of human life, from the beginning of human life, this question has always been raised by the purpose of the creation of this world by man for man, and with the emergence of religions among different human societies, the answers to a concept to human beings by different religions It was given, but due to the growth of thought of thoughtful people, the answers obtained from religions were not enough for philosophers, and the question of the purpose of the creation of this world is still raised among philosophers, in my opinion, considering the turning point before creation. The universe by the Creator, the departure of the single creator from his single world in order to create the universe for meaning. Because there is no meaning in single essence.

This is lovely lecture indeed i enjoyed and got inspired by it indeed Allah nature is wild and nothing created for no reason and his signs of existence are clear expect dopters cant see it and that probably because of lack of faith, i noticed that religious and people are in tune with nature are the closest to Allah religious by their aknowledgement and the other with their noticing Allah's signatures that lies in every creation . ALLAH bless you .☺☺

Every one in here please help me with this question if it is appropriate question, Question is: why was I(specially me) included in the creation? (Was there any pre decision we took before we were created? Like did we got choice to be part of the this test and reward? Or we choose not be created because we could trap in the test and fail and get punished? if it was us who agreed to get created, Wallahi some of us will Regret they have choosed to be born and take test,
@ZAINAB-uk9ui
@ZAINAB-uk9ui 4 жыл бұрын
No we had NO decision. It’s all Allah ( swt ) ‘s decision. We All are going through these trials and we are all tested. And that is how Allah determines who is deserving of Jannah and who is not. If we had the choice that would not be fair at all. It’s not just.

I have a question which eats me if Allah made us to serve him then why should we live a earthly life like marriage ,study ,career etc Should not a Muslim have the urge to make money or be a doctor or scientist We know that at the end our lives degree of the world doesn't have any value then why should we pursue it? Or why should we deserve the best??
@ZAINAB-uk9ui
@ZAINAB-uk9ui 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand your question that much but hopefully I’ll be able to answer it. It’s simply because Allah ( swt ) is testing us with those things you mentioned like marriage, careers, money etc.. Allah wants to see who’s deserving of Jannah and who truly worships him despite the trials and temptations of the world. Allah ( swt ) says in the Quran, “ Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.” Imagine if the world didn’t have any of those things, how will Allah ( swt ) determine who is worthy of being entered into Jannah and who is not? Truly Allah ( swt) created us only to worship him but that doesn’t mean that we can’t build life on earth and live happily while obeying Allah ‘s commands at the same time. Allah made these things as a waste of time and enjoyment for us just for the little while we are here on earth to test us until the day of resurrection arrives and our final destination is determined. Allah ( swt ) says, "Descend ( Adam & Hawa), being to one another enemies ( Men and Shaytan) .And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time.” This means that the earth is just a place of settlement and enjoyment until yaum al qiyamah arrives and that it’s not going to last forever only for a little bit of time. And for your question “ The world doesn’t have any value then why should we pursue it ?” Is a question you need to ask yourself and people. It’s something that people want to do. Allah ( swt) didn’t say this life has value he said that the hereafter is what is valuable that’s why he called this life “ Dunya” which means “low” in Arabic, meaning it has no value, it’s low, and it’s nothing compared to the hereafter. It’s simply how human minds work people are deluded by this life and they think it has a value and they want to do all these things without obeying any laws or orders from Allah. And Allah ( swt ) says, “ And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion” .

Still no answer to the question why Allah created us to worship. Why He wants us to worship him? And why creat us with the illusion of a free will, if everything is already known and therefore determined by Allah? If He already knows the result, there is no need to bother and make us take the exam. Is the exam the purpose of us Existing? Then what does Allah 'get from it'?

Always remember that Allah swt doesn’t need us. Whatever happens to this world, Allah would still reign and will always be the One and Only God. But as for us, human beings, we need Allah. We worship him because we need him in our everyday lives. And only Allah knows why we exist.

Allah wanted to share eternity life so he created us . 1.For that he asked us (our soul) before coming to this world who wants to go through a test to prove that they are better than angel and deserve a place in heaven . 2.he also wants to see who obey allah when they get free will so he put a test and this world became a place for test . And people who obey will go heaven and who don’t will go to hell . But both side will have a eternal life. 3.one of the allah’s attribute is the creator so he can create. So created us and everything(within this universe) for us .

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT BEING A HINDU? By Francois Gautier. *Diversity in Divinity and Unity in Spirituality* 1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted 2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik 3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak. 4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman. 5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools. 6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it. 7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure ! 8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead. 9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest. 10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion) 11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi. 12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy. 13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic ! 14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship). 15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy 16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan. 17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study ! 18) You believe in Female energy ! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism ☺ is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) You represent this! You're free to choose, my dear Hindu! This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction

30:58 As a matter of fact, 100% pure oxygen is poisonous and can have negative effects if you breath it in too much. The air around us is mixture of gases, cancelling out most of the negative effects of oxygen. Our blood has evolved to capture the oxygen we breathe in and bind it safely to the transport molecule called haemoglobin. If you breathe air with a much higher than normal O2 concentration, the oxygen in the lungs overwhelms the blood's ability to carry it away. The result is that free oxygen binds to the surface proteins of the lungs, interferes with the operation of the central nervous system and also attacks the retina.

Before Allah(SWA)created anything he knew people will believe and he knew people will disbelieve because of course, he is the All Knowing. As for the people who he knew will disbelieve, why did he create them? He knows they will die as non believers, and He knows they will end up in hellfire. of course the free choice was given to all, but he knows they will reject the faith even before he created them. So Allah creates them and tests them, but he knows they will die upon disbelief and end up in the hellfire. Why did he create them in the first place?
@muhashartaj
@muhashartaj 3 жыл бұрын
In the quran He mentions He created some for paradise and many for hellfire. That is the purpose that serves Him. He truly wants to punish evil people. Its like a good painting. You look at it and you like it even if it has horrible scenes between all the amusing ones. Great is the fitting word to such painting or creation.

I really like this lecture, but I still have a question. 1 Why did God create people with physical/mental disabilities? You can say its a test but its not really fair. Like I am having a really easy test and someone else( people in Syria who are dying) have a really hard test. Someone here to come with a strong argument?
@mahaizzat3381
@mahaizzat3381 3 жыл бұрын
People with mental disabilities are not accountable for their actions (straight to heaven). Physical disabilities are actually compensated in the hereafter if you were a believer, you are being rewarding for your acceptance and patience. You are rewarded for pain that results from a pin. Can you imagine the rewards that people who are suffering and dying are getting? The hardest test is for those who have it all (us). It’s easy to forget about god and follow our desires or get busy with life. Pain, suffering and need bring you back to Allah. Sometimes Allah inflicts those whom he loves with trials so they can run back to him. In Islam, tribulations are either a sign that Allah loves you (testing you and wants to reward you for your patience) or a punishment. Usually a person knows which one applies but in both cases, you run to god and worship sincerely.

@@mahaizzat3381 I understand what you say, but still it seems unfair to me. Straight to heaven for people with mental disabilities? Than there is no such thing as a test for them, which makes it unfair in my opinion compared to other people.

I came here looking for answers, but now I just have more questions, you've just used metaphors and examples on why we have been created, no proper answer, why does god need to test us? If hes knows the past, present and future, everything hes putting us through doesnt mean anything coz he has already written our fate and knows the outcome, so what's the point?

The fact that he created u is out of his mercy.He will grant u heaven if u live by his commands. A simple scenario is the ppl of jannah/heaven/paradise will get to live in paradise forever and they will enjoy eternal bliss.

@@ramaathman8976 so for my earthly sins (which span what? 50 years? 70 years? 80 years? 100 years?) He will punish me for the rest of the eternity? Well excuse me but that doesn't sound like a benevolent creator. It looks like some sadistic maniac! Hey let me create you and make you flowed but if you don't follow my made up rules (which don't even make much sense in the first place *more like human made tribal middle eastern social norms*) I will punish you for the rest of infinity. Clearly Allah God whatever you call it is man made... but you must be truly crazy or have the intellect of potato to fall for those sort of fairy tales.

@@kohterg3713 First of all u have 2 understand that we don't owe Allah anything.He does whatever he pleases and we cant question it.But I do see what u r saying and the problem is you dont know who Allah is. Its like an infant trying to walk.Allah has alot of attributes bro such as the most merciful.He forgives and forgives even without u asking.He is the most gracious,he grants sustenance 2 both the believers and non believers.Allah says in a hadith that HIS MERCY PREVAILS OVER HIS ANGER so 4 as long u r alive there is still a chance of redemption Finally this worldly life is a test.Allah is the All Knowing and The judge.He is the owner of wisdom.This means that whatever one does its either 4 the benefit of his own soul or his own damnation and Allah will judge us accordingly

He is your muslim brother. Actually he follows Hanafi school of thought. Regardless do not thrown degrading terms like wahabi. My mum during a rishta coming, told the rishta that I was a wahabi with disgust, just imagine this coming from your own mothers mouth. Look how these term divide us. She said this just because I did not want to worship peers like she did. Sikhs do the same. Love your muslims brothers and sister even if you feel no love from them. They love Allah swt, say I bear witness that there is no God except Allah swt and Muhammad saw is his final messenger. I do not agree with brelvis but I do not hate them and do not treat them like disbelievers. I will help them whenever they need me. I just pray for their hidayah. One less muslim in the world, one less person to hold up the banners of Islam.

Did he personally go into the womb to do the personal interview about the twins? And then explain to us their physical states as well as their opinions on what they are going to do with the mouths (which they can't even talk with)?? This guy is the biggest bullshitter I have ever seen in my life. A child cannot even talk when he comes out of the womb, how can he talk within the womb. WTF! Also realize that he only uses the word. MAN after every example. What happened to the women?
