In this special event, Qari Tulaib Zafir recites some chapters of the Qur'an in accordance with the alleged Qur'anic variant of Imam Abu Hanifa.

RECITER
Tulaib Zafir is a student and teacher of the qirā’āt and tajwīd sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at UC Berkeley, and a master’s degree in Islamic Studies at Harvard. He is currently pursuing a PhD with a focus in the transmission of the Qur’an.
ORGANISER
The Irshad Centre for Hanafi Studies is an educational initiative specialising in the instruction of the Hanafi tradition. It provides students with an opportunity to study beginner, intermediate and advanced texts in Sacred Law and Legal Theory, and as of 2020, it also offers a full curriculum of study for dedicated students, particularly those with limited time and other commitments. The innovative programme combines the various parts of the Hanafi tradition - fiqh, qawa‘id, usul, hadith, ‘aqida, tafsir - bringing everything together into a coherent and consistent whole.
The centre also publishes the Journal of Hanafi Studies (JHS).
