I picked up a QK75, and it should be delivered on Wednesday! For me, it truly is the first of its kind. I prefer aluminum boards, and love the exploded 75% with a knob, however, I also need wireless. I work and play from my couch, so not having wireless is a deal-breaker. I've stuck with other layouts or given up on aluminum because there simply is not a board out there that meets my needs and wants. The QK75 does that, so I definitely picked it up as soon as the GB went live. Now other boards, like the Keychron Q1 Pro are coming out that offer everything, but even that is going through a Kickstarter. This is still the first board to meet my needs, and I'm looking forward to getting it built!

@@WilsonNg1101 I don't know if it matters, but I put in my order within minutes of the GB going live. I can't remember now if it was the Zoom65 R2 or the QK that offered two different shipping tiers, I know one did and the other did not. Whichever it was I paid for air shipping.

@@p0keyy @Dave A It doesn’t matter when you ordered. They sent them all out in batches based on color but not everyone who had those colors/stuff of those colors got shipped yet. I got an Ano Blue / sand dusk weight literally just now. I have a White / mirror gold (most already shipped) and a black / mirror black (not shipped at all yet) that are all not shipped yet. Also it’s CNY right now so the whole country is shutdown more or less for a few weeks. They start shipping again around the 28th (but they are hoping maybe a little before).

I was just saying how much i love this and Avi’s channels; and then you feature him in yours! I ordered 3 QK75s (one if for a mix/match board for my brother’s bday, one for me, one for… a lark?) and am very excited to get it. I have a Blue Anodized showing up in a few days (which i will switch the bottom case to a white one) with Osume Tsukimir2 on it. Thanks for the vid and thanks for the stickers, again, man! Keep it up!

I’m somewhat of former car enthusiast that’s got big into the custom keyboard scene the last 3 years, and your analogy seemed spot on to me! QK75 is not a prebuilt by definition, but it might as well be, because they made it so easy to figure out how to put it together. And why not? You get the satisfaction that comes along with building it like an Ikea furniture and a price and quality that's non "ikea" but more like Structube quality, if that's a correct way of putting it.

Some of my favorite parts of this video are the way you mixed the cartoon with the song, the Goldilocks Zone chart and the whole Goldilocks theme in general. I'm still trying to understand the tie in with automobiles but I know I'll get it.

I love customs, but my wallet loves prebuilts. All those builds that wind up costing 3, 4, 500 dollars + are absurd and I can't justify the purchase. Boards like the Cidoo v65/75 and the QK75 are taking those high end build elements and making them obtainable. I'm grateful.

What makes Mode the most accessible compared to other in-stock options like Keebwerk, Keebio, or Monokei? Also, I hate Mode’s configurator lol, but that’s just me. I think they overcomplicated lists, and the options have so much padding I can’t see all the options in one section on my screen

I just ordered the Q1 Pro but idk if I regret it now. I didn't know this existed till now. Having a 2.4ghz wireless connection mode sounds amazing in a gasket keyboard. I swear I was searching for keyboards like this before ordering and didn't find anything

It's sometimes surprisingly hard to "find" things in the mechanical keyboard space. The problem with the QK75 and Qwertykeys is that they don't have a "permanent" website. If you want to know you gotta be on their discord or have their Notion site saved down somewhere, but in order to get there you have to know about them in the first place which kinda makes it impossible to "find them" via a specific product search. Others are better in this regard but not perfect either, I've had this exact same thing happen to me too 🙈

Personally I think the Mode Sonnet is better. It’s a always in stock and you can customize the heck outta them.

@@hindra1996 The Sonnet can be expensive if you customize it. I just hate GBs and don’t think they’re beginner friendly at all. But If you’re willing to wait for a blue moon to get a chance to buy the QK75 and then 2-3more months to receive it sure it’s a better bargain. It’s difficult to recommend to beginners at this point thus I rank the Sonnet higher.

@@awesoman09 These days GB is just delivered faster than ever. QK75 GB was closed on Dec 12 and it's even already shipped for some. It's not like it used to be where you even wait 6+ month in some occasion. At minimum (with additional silicon base and platefoam with all black an no other config). it cost 334 + shipping (before tax) it's easily twice Qk75 price. For sure if you got money sonnet is a better choice, but it's not so entry level friendly board, and it's a big question for beginner whether the extra 100-150$ spent worth the value that you get. Either way i still agree that sonnet is overall a superior board, but i don't agree that it's in the same league as QK75 as the pricing is intended for ppl who are enthusiast

I don’t think you can buy them separately, they are the “Ashen” switches that came or could be bought together with the QK75.

I hear what you are saying about the QK75 edition that comes with keycaps and switches being close enough to a prebuilt in that it includes all the parts, but what about those of us who bought the barebones kit? It doesn't include much more than my Devastating TKL or my Parallel Sequence did except maybe the stabilizers.

Keychron is relatively well-known and belongs to a well-known brand, but the products he sells are as high as 194 US dollars. Analogg has the same product and configuration, and the price is only 139 US dollars. Many configurations are much higher than keychron Q1 pro, such as wireless VIA, return rate 2000hz, battery 8000mah, But keychron is relatively famous, which one should I choose, tell me the answer in the comment area, currently both are crowdfunding on kickstarter, your vote will be my final choice!

@@skewsme7650 Don't really know, but since they have begun shipping the units I'd say it would be best to keep an eye on your local vendor to see if they have any extras that are coming in. They usually do that on instagram, you can also contact the vendors directly. I've done that in the past for other boards and they all answered me and have let me know if there was going to be extras or not 🙂 If all else fails, wait for R2 which I think will happen considering the immensely positive response the QK75 has gotten so far.

I dunno, man... For me as a lower-end enthusiast, these QK75 reviews honestly feel like a cry of the premium custom community that's been slammed by all the value offerings of the budget segment in the last year. It's like the premium manufacturers of the yesteryear going "we are still relevant, custom has value because it's custom, scarcity culture is important" and so on... and their followers, well, following. I mean - sure, if you're making cyberboards or AFAs, I get you; and maybe even if you just enjoy your tinkerables from luxury materials made in smaller runs by individual artisans. But at this crossover, things are really getting weird - and not exactly in terms of products (more options to cover the whole spectrum is always good, more affordable customizable options even more so), but in terms of messaging, which almost feels apologetic. As if the premium segment community has been slowly descending the price staircase as the hobby was getting more popular, and are puzzled to have met the "other side" in the very middle, and do not know how to act now to justify their past choices. And all this, honestly, feels kind of... uncomfortable to look at from the side. But maybe it's just me, an outsider who understands nothing. Dunno.

basic stuff should be cheap - it's the design that adds the value. For qk series - we aim to make it bang of the buck at 150-250 range. We are avoiding calling it budget because it's a subjective word but if you looking at what defines “budget" in other consumer products - it's probably the segment that attracts the most revenue.
