4 жыл бұрынHer Majesty The Queen gave a reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday evening to celebrate the work of the Diamond Jubilee Trust.
Queen Elizabeth was joined for the reception by Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex, Vice-Patron of the Trust.
The Trust was founded in 2012 with a mission to curb avoidable blindness and empower a new generation of young leaders - The Queen's Young Leaders.

Tania C HM is on good form. You can see she is so comfortable with Sophie around, I think hosting these gatherings, meeting new people, finding out about them, keeps our Queen young and perky. God bless you Elizabeth II ☺️🇬🇧

I can’t express how much I admire the Queen...just look at this amazing woman...oh, and Sophie is gracious and respectful and warm...I just can’t imagine how much the Queen has seen and experienced through her life for her beloved Great Britain..starting at such a young age..just stepping in after being married such a short time.when her father passed away......but did it she did...no drama in public or complaining in public..amazing woman

Tisha Zachary very well said. She is the ultimate professional. People forget its a job. Most people have off days or would have retired a long time ago. Not for her. Shes the Boss and sets the standards always giving 100%.

I don't know why you guys don't start calling her Elizabeth the Great. Anyways, history is running out of monarchs who reigned longer. Only 5 left and Franz Joseph I is next towards the end of January. In about four and a half years she will take the position of longest reigning monarch of all time anywhere.

I've often thought of tea with Her Majesty, there's so much in her background to make amazing conversation. But I have conditions for my fantasy. I want our tea to be at Balmoral, in a room with a quiet fire and a Prince Albert-style tartan rug. It should be chilly outside, maybe a light snowfall. I hope there will be wonderful sandwiches and pastries made that day in the royal kitchen and that, of course the royal great-granny will be Mother and give me Earl Grey.

I have some hearing loss and films as these with many speakers, some with, for me, thick accents, can be a challenge. Or, I just let it go and believe what I think I heard. One burly gent here is introduced as "Mr. Russell, a stuffed rabbit." Wish I had started doing this years ago.

I tried my best to hear what the queen said at the end but alas there was just too much noise and the mic not close enough in the room. Mix that in with my tinnitus and I had no chance. Your interpretations of things said are enjoyable and fun :)

Poor Queen Elizabeth. ..I am a lot younger ( almost 70yrs old ) but I couldn't stand up for that long and shake hands with hundreds of people because my back , shoulders , neck and arms would ache like the Dickens . She is quite simply amazing in every way and deeply loved and respected around the World. ..I don't know anyone of her age having to work so hard .

Sophie is such a credit to the Royal Family,hardworking,discreet,genuine and always immaculately dressed- a pity MM doesn’t follow her lead.Sophie came from an ordinary working class family,with no experience of life in the Royal goldfish bowl and has managed to fit in brilliantly,no scandal,no attention seeking,no attempts to ‘save the world’,whilst carping about how stressful the job is,how her luxurious lifestyle isn’t a happy one- in a badly orchestrated documentary.

A very positive aspect of the royal family. I do wonder how the Queen's hearing is at such noisy events, but then no doubt she has the best hearing aid. What an amazing resilient woman and much respect to Sophie who is always so impeccable. May it shine a guiding light for other members of the family. 🌻

This is NOT a shot but I know some will take it that way anyway🙄🙄🙄 But this is more my personal preferred way of doing things Quietly with dignity and graciousness and gentility.that takes alot of strength which can be far more effective than shout I know times are a changing but I personally prefer this to the more in your face approach (Lol guess I'm showing my age here)

Very Cool, hi it is I the SkyWalker writing to comment about this video if I may, very cool: The Diamond Jubilee...I like how the Diamond Jubilee raises awareness on issues and empower young minds. In my opinion I also believe young minds need to know they have a say...and what they "say" will be heard; in my imagination if I were there accompanying the Queen I would have mentioned that to the young leaders if given the chance. I imagine if I were there accompanying the Queen how much I would have loved shaking hands with people from foreign Nations, I imagine alongside side the Queen saying to all who's hands I shook no matter what part of the Earth they were from how God is God. I imagine listening as I hear where a guest were from for example Nigeria and shaking that person's hand and mentioning to them "God is God in Nigeria", I imagine then shaking hands with the person from Zambia and mentioning to that person "God is God in Zambia" and I imagine I would have continued and mentioned "God is God" to all people I had the honor of greeting, in my opinion that would have been a splendid meeting indeed.
