Obviously, I'm the socially awkward and socially shy person so keep that in mind when I say this opinion. I hate that dating has always been a "strategic game" where you have to go up to a woman you don't know and have no connection to and ask her out, and that this is the way it works. Like he mentioned at the beginning (that he says doesn't work), I do prefer being friends with a woman first and get to know her before I even think about being her boyfriend. I need to know who she is and interact with her as a friend for months before I feel comfortable enough to interact with her in a flirtatious way. But like it was said at the beginning, the society doesn't work that way and this is why I feel I don't fit in . If I were to follow the advice, I would have to become a liar and someone I'm not and pretty much "fake to show interest in someone" to eventually get a girlfriend, and I just can't bring myself to do this ever.
