This skips over the hardest part of what to do when the reaper spawns which is the most important part and why chest are important to start if you don't have a laurel or lancet.

He kinda doesn't need to if yournaware of the builds. The position he puts you in at the end stun locks everything from getting near you.

Have revive equipped in the perks menu, once he spawns pick up ass gems and if he kills you right before or as you pick the gems up, just revive and pick it up. You'll level up like 50+ times (guess). Get revive perk and all necessary boosts. He can kill you as many times you should have the chance with the extra revives.

*Update:* _I realized I didn't point out very well when to grab the red gem._ 🎯As soon as it hits 30 minutes, start running to the gem. Sometimes you'll level a little too quick, but it's the best measuring stick. hey i keep leveling while this is setup i checked my powerups and have no magnet upgrades, is it just a me problem or did a update fix/change this?

nvm I prioritized my powerups in this order amount area, duration, cooldown, speed and then might at the time I only had enough gold to get two might upgrades. if anyone else is having similar problems try prioritizing the upgrade using the aforementioned upgrade path.

I've done it 3 times now, but I only get to lvl 40 with the red gem, which doesnt give me enough items to kill the reaper. What's that about?

PSA: If you have Sorceress' Tears/Hurry mode, don't use it! It seems like you won't build up enough exp into a red gem. I tried with it on to speed things up and the best I could do was level 41 or so

Just a heads up, the Feb 19th update fixed empty tome so you don't have to hold back on maxing weapons, the only reason you would do so is for more chances to get the items you need. Also, while not required, it helps to get magic wand which evolved into holy wand if you go for a chest right after (for extra damage), calendabrador (for bigger size), duplicator (for 2 extra runetracer) and tiragisu (to give you more chances to live til the reaper dies if the reaper doesn't get frozen and kills you).

I've attempted this soooo many times and it was all because of one simple reason - i was too aprehensive running to the red gem, leaving just a single second or two before the 30 minute mark, of course this then scaled up the reapers health! Big point that i'm sure a lot of people haven't realized yet!

"it's a little difficult to stay at level 2 with this current method" over exaggerated statement haha, this is for sure been patched the runetracer wont even stay there anymore mobs can walk around the inventory now suicide chickens comes from out the map the render layer on gems takes way longer. im pretty sure there's a way to stay 1-2 blue gems away from lvl 4 tho not sure if runetracer is the move anymore unless there's a new positioning that can be abused where the runetracer wont randomly go through the walls after 100's of tries im still not there and getting frustrated as hell haha i want it to work hope you find a way 👍 im for sure done after 7 hours trying and resetting 😥

I'm 22 minutes into my first attempt at following this guide, and I'm having the exact intended result shown in the video. Still level 2 and a half, the runetracer is still a big blob and deleting everything. I know where my red gem is and I'm just nervous about timing this right due to knowing how quickly the reaper spawns and how quickly he moves. The red gem isn't exactly close, but I've got some extra revives ready from the outset and basically every upgrade that I should have, minus 2 rerolls. And, of course, not touched any of the upgrades I shouldn't. Will be able to post results in some 5+ minutes from the time of writing. Will just edit this comment with the result. Edit; Okay, I followed the guide to a T and got wiped the eff out by the reaper. I only got to level 71 after grabbing red gem. I got maxed out water, rune, cross, duplicator, spinach, candle, spellhaste, clock, tome, bracer, knives (evolved) and wand (evolved). You'd think this would do the trick. However, the 2nd reaper spawn came in and snuck behind the book cases and backstabbed my ass and forced me to move in order to not keep dying and losing all the revives I had. Still died, because 1 reaper on each side of me was too much for the clock to keep frozen. Edit2; I realize, in hindsight, I did not get the laurel. That might've done me in.

Added edit to my former comment. Despite the guide working flawlessly for the first part, things went horribly awry at the 30 min mark. Even with amazing RNG for the end items. At least I now got 2 rerolls with me. Edit; Started a new run, already back in position with runetracer and only level 2. Let's see how this one goes. Edit 2; 5 min in, still level 2 and the red gem has appeared. Now to wait. Edit3; Plan of attack; Get all the core items, knife, wand, dupe and spinach. I got the card for extra revives instead of tiragmisu. RNGeesus save me now.

I got Infinite Corridor, Shroud and Runetracer and stayed in that corner. I was also level 133, but the reaper died in less than a minute. Thanks for the tips! It was really satisfying.

You dont have to use this strategy anymore. Just evolve laurel and clock lancet

@@popis3493 yellow sign unlocks metaglio and ring items which evolve laurel and clock lancet. Evolved laurel reduces all damage taken to 10, and evolved clock lancet halves the health of any enemy it hits

Good luck! Sometimes you can get a little unlucky and have to try again. Just make sure your positioning is perfect and your build is as strong as possible!

Thanks a bunch for the guide! It took a few times for me to get the positioning right, and I had to rest a few times due to bad RNG for positioning of the mummy boss that started clipping through the runetracer. However it worked on my 5th attempt! :)

Empty tome for cooldown, Shield + evolved clock lancet will easily do the job every time. Evolved clock lancet reduces enemies health to half so no matter how much health the reaper has, it only takes 2 shots from it to remove 100% of its health.

I almost got it if only he wouldn't get stuck on the other side of the bookshelf but his other team mates join in. 6 of them in total and didn't kill one :( But this strategy seems to work, just needs lots of tries and luck. Also in around 12 minutes if you see the runetracer gets unstuck(throws something in the downside), reposition yourself, go up or down just a lil bit or you will get killed on higher waves. Wish me luck and wish you luck too . Thx finally did it

Everytime I try this, the pink witches come from.above and cause too kuch damage at once around the 20 min plua mark. I get everythinf perfect till they arrive, everything seems fine then one gets me and bam, done.

*Trivia:* _Game does NOT end once you kill the reaper_ Stay in game and farm reaper. You get more gold each time you kill it. 1st time I killed the reaper I had a perfect RNG. That's when I learned it dies so fast, and you can farm it forever for unlimited Gold. If you position perfectly with the perfect build, you can go to sleep and let it farm forever.

I'm actually have some major problems with this. The enemies keep moving around the bookshelves and going behind them, then when runetracer kills them, they're too close and the gem is automatically picked up, even without any Magnet.

move higher. if you are a bit too low, they will move around. It happened to me as well, until you move up just a little bit.

I survived until 36 minutes but after 30 minutes I started to appear more and more and they started to get angry with each other and I ended up dying, I killed one and it was enough that this strategy still works today TKS!

I actually went over the edge of the library ( yes you can walk up, past the books) and stood there with full pichone and ebony wings plus the crimson shroud. Like 12 deaths spawned but i took very little damage and finally killed death. Then the white death got me. I also used Cosmos and left my stats normal, didn't changed a bit. Hope this helps.

The issue is at the end the reaper isn't close enough to where he gets hit by the rune tracers. How do I get him close enough with my ice lance that keeps freezing him far away

Still works 4/22/2022 it helps a lot to have everything else unlocked (perks) incase you make a mistake or get bad rng with mobs

is this still working? I'm in the right position but in my case the small green round enemies that run v fast across the screen (about at minute 1:00) fly over my head and die too close to my character and I level up. Is there any way to avoid this?

Has the game changed? I've tried this several times and when 30 minutes rolls around, a sound is played, the screen clears and a red reaper appears, which seems to teleport on top of my character, who is then stuck and almost immediately dies. There's only time to take a few steps and it's over. For me, the red gems (there are more than one) have appeared just off screen. This has happened three times in a row.

I leveled up like a millisecond before the reaper spawned making it have billions of health then had like 4 of them froze at a time then died. I wish the reaper unlock was more of a boss fight and less of a game break/gaming the system.

I offed the reaper with the both whips combo and the laurel left right combo. Didn't stay in the corner at all, nor use any of the revivals.

I got to the thirty minute mark and ran towards the red gem but the reaper outspend me and killed me since I lost the revive before the thirty minute mark

I know I’m late to the party but this doesn’t seem to be working I’m trying for the sixth time now but I will die standing still in r the reaper will kill me before I can kill him. Maybe this was patched or something?

I kinda feel like the card buff in the recent update makes this 1000x harder, people can let me know if i'm wrong but i've been trying to do it & the giant AOE that comes off the card that's supposed to buff garlic & such is killing all the mobs across the entire map, causing the red gem to drop off screen literally 100% of the time I've been doing this for like 8-10 hours now & haven't even gotten the red gem to drop in screen yet, i have to use a revive to run to it at the bottom right or left depending You also can't unselect it i don't think, so it's just a big nerf for farming this xD

Refund your powerups and don't use Recovery. I had a same problem but this helped. Also the position showed in the video doesn't work for me.

Get a different arcana, the awake one will give you 3 more revives, and makes it so you gain 5% to almost every stat per death, so with that, the revival power up, and tiragisú at lvl 2, you get 6 revives for a 30% increase to damage, area, like 60% more health since that's 10% per I think, and other things

I tried this for fun and it doesn't work. The enemies come past the table and touch you. I did mine with Stanley on the second to last level. I think I only died twice.

Or unlock limit break and evolve to red shroud and close proximity weapons. Then upgrade them with limit break.

This is for people like me that went through and beat all the levels before doing the extras since it requires unlocking a lot of things but If you get "Randomazzo" in Gallo Tower and then unlock the "Awake" Arcana ( by Reaching Level 99 with Krochi), you can select that at the start of a run to ensure some extra revives and not waste any slots on Tiragisú

Do you need to fully upgrade the Lancet before you get the first rank of the Tome at all? Or just before you max the Tome? My timing seems to be just off with it. Thanks for the vid though, having a blast with this strategy!

Depending on if they fix this bug in the next update, it may not matter. Currently, you want to have duration extended max, then max Lancet before even touching Tome. You can get a few out of order and it still work, but the perfect strategy is to max each in order.

i don't know what the new patch changed, but for my first solid attempt, only noticed that my level at the end is 90 flat. This would mean less hp for the reaper, but couldn't kill him since i didn't get the right tools at the end, still it was a nice 5k gold run. got a new decent run with pretty optimal skills, but 1½ minutes full barraging the main reaper wasn't enough

Are you staying at level 2 until the 30 minute Mark? Double check the graphic at the end. It has everything condensed into one image like placement and alternate builds.

@@CodeCreature I'm not 100% sure if i was lv 2 or 3 at the 30 min mark. I think half-forced pick of bible did screw me up too much in the end. Runetracer & evolved knife weren't enough.
